Literally the only goal that could exist in life is to beat the human condition. There really should be more focus on this, because perfecting technology to regenerate and repair human tissue will fix a large number of the other things that cause people to die.Unfortunately a large quantity of the population isn't even concerned about this because they've been told fairytales about an afterlife.
