I'd be down for motion controls if i could still move around with the analog stick, tilting around to move is too frustrating for me so i stick for normal controls for that reason. Though i prefer punching with motion controls.

It's not a gyro aim vs. analog stick where you could theoretically obtain the same results if you were a cyborg or some other perfect entity. You get objectively more movement options with motion controls in Arms, though where the competitive scene grows/cares enough to make them necessary at high-level play remains to be seen.

But you're right in that the motion controls aren't a vital necessity for playing.
