The entire games color pallette is red, black and dark purple. The whole game is an eyesore compared to DAS3.

It really was a dissappointing game. Too short, too few weapons, "armor" combos are superficial and for looks only, overly dark and morbid for the sake of being edgy, muh lovecraft etc...

Here's how the Souls saga worked:
-Demon's Souls was a collab with Sony's 1st party studio JapanStudio, however a certain Sony lead didn't see the appeal of the game and thought it was a wasted effort, so even though it was pretty much a 1st party titles (technically 2nd party I guess?) Sony didn't publish it outside of Japan. Atlus and BandaiNamco picked it up due to it getting a cult following in the west.

-While developing DaS1 FromSoft knew it couldn't rely on Sony since their last game just got ditched outside japan, so they looked for another publisher out of desperation (even though Sony co-developed their last game) and a contract was sealed with BandaiNamco for 3 games published under them

-After DarkSouls1 came out, or even before then, the Sony lead (Shuhei yoshida) knew his dismissal of the franchise was a huge mistake and so offered to fully support FromSoft once more, this time without retarded publishing restrictions.

-DaS2 and Bloodborne were now in development. BandaiNamco's contract was already obsolete at this point, since FromSoft always had a better publisher to begin with (albeit stubborn) but now they are forced to shit out 2 more games because of the contract

-FromSoft finishes shitting out the other 2 half-hearted milked DarkSouls games, while the leads actually focus on the JapanStudio collab projects.

That's it. There's no reason for FromSoft to partner with BandaiNamco now that they know Sony won't act retarded like they did with Demon'sSouls. Sony not only publishes games internationally but also helps the studio itself developing the game, building the engine or offering sound recording studios, composers and orchestras (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yncMReF8QA) and Sony doesn't force FromSoft into making sequel trash, they can create any IPs they wish

I played Zero on PS4 and am playing through Kiwami on PS4, it's mostly 60fps outside of a few dips when running around the city. Still, the best overall business move is to keep it exclusive on PS4 for a long time, then when everyone has pretty much given hope of seeing it on PC, announce the better version on PC. You get the PS4 sales for bloodborne, all the sames of the game itself, then years down the line you get people who didn't buy the PS4 for bloodborne and even potential repeat costumers who might buy it a second time for the superior experience.

What I hate is when a company just keeps it exclusive forever, essentially burying their game under a console that gets forgotten in time. Right now the entire MGS saga has a nice collection exclusive to PS3, how much money could this possible be generating? To add onto this, people complain about "Lazy Remasters" a lot but I entirely disagree. I say the games which should be ported over to newer systems are, well, all of them. Wherever it's not a huge cost to port the game, it should be. It's absolutely worth it to have some sort of native emulation.

The way I see it some game on the PS2 from 15 years ago is generating no sales, it's a dead game completely. You put it on a newer platform, it's at last generating some money.

Ideally, every game would be available forever at a lower price point, but I understand that's not always technically feasible or even cost effective sometimes if anything must be done to make the game actually work on newer platforms.

Since you picked axe, are you a Strength build? I like to keep a distance from enemies and 1-hit R2 them. You'd be amazed at how most enemies are completely defenseless against this basic strategy. Use pebbles to lure over 1 enemy at a time.

Think about what you're doing wrong, and find a way to address it. Put points into vitality if you're taking too much damage and practice dodging. If you're not doing enough damage, fortify your weapons and put more points into Str.

Dodge a lot and don't get greedy in the beginning by swinging like a madman, you'll need stamina to dodge out. Make a twink build: level 43-56 maximum, all weapons +10 / all gems rating 17-20. Getting all the equipment at such a low level is a huge challenge in its own but it's definitely doable. Every BB player like you should make at least one twink.

Have 41 VIT and you can tank enough damage to take out gank squads of three players pretty reliably. During invasions you will have 1192 health (assuming you have the +15% and +10% HP runes equipped).

All the rest of your stats should be just the bare minimum requirements needed to equip whatever weapons you choose. I would go with 20 STR, 12 SKL and 10 ARC so you can use Logarius Wheel, because it is disgustingly overpowered at twink levels. The tricked dash-R1 attack hits the enemy 3 times per every time you do it, so if you put 3 cursed brainsucker gems that add like +70 flat arcane damage each you get around +630 added arcane damage from them in a single attack, plus the wheel's physical damage. That's like two attacks (sometimes just one) and the other player is dead

The whole point of exclusives is to sell systems, even if indirectly (ie. You wouldn't buy a PS4 JUST for Bloodborne, but it would be part of the reason)

They could give the game away for free on the PS4 and still not port it to PC at full-price, they don't _only_ want to profit from the game. They want you to buy a PS4. Bloodborne, Horizon, etc are just lures, then you will eventually buy other exclusives and unrelated 3rd parties, and pay for PS+, etc. All of which give Sony $$$
