I want to get into the Tales series. Which are the best?

Unless you care about trying to master the fighting mechanics, its probably worth it to play just 1 or 2, pick any .

Play them in that order.

Symphonia and Abyss are pretty good. Xillia is okay, but Xillia 2 has great gameplay. Zestiria was mediocre as fuck, and only worth it if it's cheap. I enjoyed Graces F's battle system but don't care much for its story. Haven't really played much Vesperia but I hear it's the best one.

Gamecube version is the best because 60 fps, but PC version with the tweak to run the game slightly faster (35~40 fps) also looks good
