The setting is irrelevant. I'm more interested in gameplay. What is there about Origins that is new in terms of gameplay? Surely the devs don't expect people to want the same exact gameplay only in a different setting. After you play two editions of a game, there isn't much that is compelling about playing a third edition unless something new has been added to gameplay mechanics. Origins is what, the seventh perhaps eighth edition now?

What new and innovative thing does Unity deliver to the gaming world and the universe of Assassin's Creed? If it is merely more of the same old, same old but in a new location, Ubisoft Montreal deserves to fall flat on its face.

AC are mostly about the setting, it's to see old cities and historical people. What worries me aboit Origins is that they're going strongly for that Ancient Egyptian vibe, but it has to do more with ths Romans during that time period. That might put them off an actual Roman AC game.
Also the "we were the first" crap, Cleopatra's Egypt is nowhere near Ancient enough, it's as close to our days as it is to the Great Pyramids. Plus the lore already said the orders are way back when the First Civilization was still around.

I play all the mainline Assassins Creed games regardless, they'd have to make some pretty drastic and god awful changes for me to stop playing them.

I just love exploring cities and experiencing real world events and people in a different way. I always pick up some actual knowledge of history and who people were along the way as well.

The WE WOZ KANGZ shit doesn't even bother me, I know Ubisoft will shoehorn some bullshit modern reflection of race politics and revisionist leftist history, but I honestly don't care. I'll still enjoy it.

How can anyone stomach these games? I played Blackflag because it was free and it's barely a video game. You just kind of run up behind people and they fall over dead or you have the blunderbuss that instantly kills everything in the direction you're pointing, or crazy OP darts and shit.
