As for LiS, near every instance of a pop culture reference, which is extremely common, they're all out of place, shoehorned in and stick out like a sore thumb in the conversation. Any reference to how people talk on the internet, like "I'm such a beta male" from Warren suffers from the same issue and, like the pop culture references, they're out of place, shoehorned and completely unlike what real people talk like in spite of the character's grounded personalities, which just makes it all very immersion shattering. Then there's just any of the lingo used like go fuck your selfie, and all of that is not only the most out of touch boardroom writing I've ever had the displeasure of seeing, it's also completely immersion shattering because of how other-worldly it is. It shows how out of touch it is with characters like the skaters who came straight out of the 90s, but this is just about the dialogue. I should also note that Max's internal monologue is absolutely meaningless and pretentious tripe, but I don't find that that offensive because it's an internal monologue. This is all off the top of my head and I haven't played this shit in over a year, but the broader things like the lingo pop up regularly and it's horrible everytime.
