No it isn't, OP. There's no terrible zones in Mania though the only one I'd call a bit boring is Oil Ocean.

for me, it was flying battery zone.
It didn't seem like a standout zone worth revisiting honestly, and it drags on for ages.

Spider boss was a pain to figure out, too. Like I knew i had to knock it into the spikes and fling myself into it to do so, but then it's picky about how low it can be before it actually takes damage.

Metal sonic and chrome sonic was kind of annoying but it's actually really quick to beat once you figure out you can just roll into chrome sonic every time and every other time itll damage metal sonic.

Anon I was making a reference to the guy who got the game early. He was so bad he kept dying to the boss in Oil Ocean. Although I will admit Act 2's pollution effect gets annoying after a while.

Metallic Madness is surprisingly my favorite zone in the game, despite hating it in Sonic CD
