While I am excited for it, it's because nothing else fills the void of wanting to run dungeons, level up, and get gear/loot like it because no other game simply lets me jump into a queue and do it by just killing shit.

Literally everything else requires me to do a million god damn fetch quests killing enemies that won't hurt me until I'm 200 hours into it. and then to get the items I either need to grind out a capped currency every week to buy 1 gear piece. Or do a RNG item buff to get it more powerful and if it fails my weapons destroyed unless I pay x.xx amount of money.

So yes, I have my reasons for waiting for it.

My only problem with the PvP is PC wise, Hand Cannons are going to have to be tuned for PC since the TTK is so much lower than other weapons without easy it is to aim. I mean honestly, whos going to use a SMG or AR tha tdoes 30 damage a headshot vs a HC that does 450.

You have to use a XIM4 to emulate a controller to get the aim assist to work with m/kb. Ideally the same thing you do on console.

I'm getting it purely because I loved exploring in patrol in D1 and the fact that they are actually making patrol a valid part of the end game content is enough for me.

"experience" checks can be flawed thanks to being carried. youll still end up with retards. plus, if you can effortlessly queue for it, people will be less invested in actually beating the content. the expectation will be to afk and get the rewards while everyone else works

It depends on what you want out of it.
If you want an actual story and things to do in the open sandboxes, then D2 has that.
But, if you want more strikes, it seems like D2 will be lacking in that department just like D1.
As for the expansions, they are just something you'll unfortunately have to deal with. While Destiny isn't a true MMO, it operates on a lot of the same principles. These smaller $20 dlc's and then larger expansions afterwards basically take the place of a subscription. However, if a recent leak about the first D2 dlc is correct, it seems like they may be more worth the money.

I knew it was going to happen, Played D1 curcible on Ps4 a lot, and HC dominated there till there was some range drops made.

As for PvE, I ran the strike they had a god 20 or so times. To the point could beat it without even worrying about the ads in any of the 4 phases.

I look forward to seeing more of them, plus with better gear and higher difficulties.

The problem with Destiny raids is its just a strat. No skill involved. They become farm status INSANELY quick compared to actual MMORPGs. Less mechanics, more puzzle stuff. Oryx is a huge joke for everyone not the runner.

Thats how it is with all raids though. They require you to solve the puzzle of patterns and phases. And to meet a gear check in some intsances like damage check to stop a wipe mechanic, or hp/def to prevent yourself from dying to a certain unavoidable move.

The difference between Destiny and them is D is just slower and not as many phases or mechanics. Mostly because it was on console.
