HoN had some incredible heroes, they also had some good balance changes that dota adopted, the first that comes to mind is making pudges hook not melee range at level one

Explain. Their engine didn't have real flaws but the flaws in dota 2 are purposefully built in. So if you did NOT play dota 1, then you actually don't get it. Every limitation in the dota 2 engine is artificially imposed by the dev team due to the overall evolution of dota.
