Why is an average Vanu player able to instantly dominate the entire whiny TR faction with almost no experience with TR weaponry?

From my experience the average TR is just less skilled than the equivalent VS player, most VS players come from oldschool shooters like Quake and UT, whereas most TR came from ARMA and Civilization.

Is this game even worth playing or is it lootcrate mmo trash

It's alright. The game is free and you unlock weapons/utilities by buying them with the ingame currency (called "certs") that are give to you by playing the game.

Cosmetics are completely locked behind a paywall though, but at least you'll get exactly what you pay for instead of gambling on loot crates.
