That is something that was easily remedied in the olden days by a thing called "intermissions". Gamers can pause their games at any time, effectively creating their own intermissions. Also MGS4 had intermissions between each act in the form of the installation screens.

In all honesty I really don't care about anything related to this game because I'm already sold.
I don't even give a fuck about scores. I will blindly buy it day one. I just want to discover what the game has, I'm probably not even going to watch the trailers -what I did with Bloodborne.

I miss when this place had some self awareness, and didn't unironically think they were a majority.
I think you even do it on purpose, I remember seeing people say that Overwatch and Battlefield 1 would flop.

Mostly still mourning Silent Hills to be honest. PT was one of the best horror experiences I have ever had in a game, and it was just a repeating hallway. I'm sure Death Stranding will attempt to capture some of that sort of atmosphere on some way. Either way, I dunno what people expect there to be hype over, we haven't seen shit fuck all for the damn thing.
