Dalamud was coming down, the monsters of Eorzea were going crazy and the Garlean's were actually invading, the world was going mad. It wouldn't really make sense to have monsters mass spawn in cities before Heavensward, or Stormblood.

So, I watched the first episode and I have to say I liked it. It is really cheesy anime like series but I can't help to love it.
I'm a sucker for father-son bonding relationship. I'm kind of a huge autistic when it comes to show affection to my family, specially my father, so the first episode moved me. Also to note that I never could play videogames with my father when growing up, which I deeply regret.

There would be an announcement in Aht Urgan Whitegate (the Foundation equivalent) that either the Mamool Ja, Trolls or Lamiae had left their zone and had begun an assault on the city. It would take the NMs around 20 minutes to travel through the zones (you could attack them on the way but it was pretty pointless), then everyone in the town would run out to the Besieged section of town when they got the message that the beastmen were at the gates. They'd break into the town, and then players would be able to engage them. there were so many people and monsters that you couldn't really do anything, you wouldn't be able to render enough players or mobs. you'd cast your spells and try not to take hate from the NPCs, try to keep them from breaking the seals on the crystal room. then you'd get credits (and later on, EXP) for the amount of damage you dealt and/or monsters you killed.

having det and dh be close to eachother is optima, but your stats are extremely good, det isn't that bad since dots are around 40% of your damage.
you don't have to, but if you could link some logs i could look over them and maybe tell you what you're doing wrong, you should be able to do 4k dps.
how is your song rotation?
it should be minuet together with raging strikes then swap to ballad at the last possible second once you have spent the rest of your repos, then let ballad run out so there might be a chance of you getting a proc once the song runs out.
for armys wait until the timer of ballad is 30 seconds and armys at 60 seconds, so ideally you should swap at 20 seconds into armys, being in armys for too long is a dps loss depending on the situation.
and then there's small things such as almost always use your SS procs on refulgent arrows
i could mention some more things but there's a lot of things to know about bard if you want to do decent damage

I don't have any logs at the moment, I usually don't parse myself since I play worse when I do. What I do is Minuet>Ballad>Paeon in single and switch to Ballad at 1 second or less after using the last of the pitch perfect procs. I usually only stay in Army's long enough to get some uptime on the other songs. I haven't been very good on my luck with Ref arrows being barraged, they usually proc a few seconds after I barrage my emp arrows.

My static comp is DRK/WAR/WHM/AST/RDM/SAM/BRD/NIN if that matters. NIN usually forgets to trick attack though.

you really don't have a lot of buffs to play around with and that might be a reason for why your damage is that low
bard just ends up doing shit damage without buffs since buffs are extremely important to you
that being said, you should be doing close to 4k dps
you might just be getting really bad luck
and a good bard makes the most out of any buffs available
for ballad and wanderers = crit, for armys = damage if there's a point you have to choose
