played Pikmin 2 again recently. initially dreaded heading into that cave, but realized the real threat within wasn't the waterwraith itself, but the fucking hazards and design. floor 2 and floor 4 are the worst. floor 2 has a part where you have to haul a treasure past an inaccessible ledge with dweevils at the top which will drop down and snatch it from you and waste your time. floor 4 is bombs and tight corridors, need i say more? if you only take about 70 blues with you into the cave you'll do well since the bulbmin spawn everywhere.

I recently replayed these games and didn't really have much of a problem with Durlag's, but I did go into it near the end with pretty damn good equipment. The only fight I actually had a little trouble with in BG1 was that fight at the end of the Sword Coast Tales village, the boss demon you fight in the basement with all the cultists.

Beamdog, in their stupidity, has taken upon themselves the notion of "fixing" the AD&D system. So protection from undead just makes you immune to undead melee attacks.
