/vr/ here. It seems not that many Souls fans are aware of the numerous King's Field references in their games. The Moonlight Sword was introduced in King's Field 1, then made cameo appearances in several other From Software IPs, namely Armored Core and EverGrace.

Besides the Moonlight Sword, there are a lot of other KF references in Souls. Don't you fight Seethe and Guyra at some point in the first Dark Souls game? They're both minor opposing gods in KF and have to be defeated in the Verdite Trilogy.
