doesn't exist
>there is someone on planet earth that fucks Julian and it's Ding Dong
>>388950952
>that moment you realize Julian tolerates Ding Dong
>he hasn't played dark souls
I like when he talks about actual gamedev stuff.I LOVE when he talks about stinky funnies.
>the physics in this game are completely fucked but it's still good because it's on the dreamcast
>>388951485
I love these crudely drawn comics. I think they're cute. How could be be upset at these comics? They are clearly just bants.
>>388950952
That Blue Stinger episode was funny though. They were really gay. It's still pretty funny how cold Julian is to Dingdong though.
>>388951614
what? he got upset over these?
All difficulty in a video game is artificial since it's all man-made
am i the only one who misses when oneyplays was just oney with old ngfags sometimes? dingdong and julian are making the show unwatchable for me...
>>388950952
I know a few people that would unironically would want to fuck both Dingdong and Julian. It really goes to show that people are odd and there's someone out there for everybody.
Let's settle this once and for all.

Ding dong is ok but Julian is such a fucking cunt holy shit i hope he dies, he won't fucking shut up.
>>388951835
Some of his fans did. But I think it was Dingus in disguise. None of the residents on /trash/ seemed offended by these comics.
What are some examples of artificial difficulty?
>>388951867
No, not really. Spazkid is fucking awful. The Bloodbourne playthrough is borderline unwatchable because Mick fucking kills every single conversation he's in. Ricepirate is boring and unfunny.
There is one (1) form of artificial difficulty that exists: rubberband AI in racing games. Apart from that there is no such thing as artificial difficulty.
PROVE ME WRONG
>>388952149
Playing Super Mario 64 with the least amount of A presses
>>388952149
Dark Souls 2 is basically artificial difficulty from start to finish, no unique enemies no fun battles its throw 1000 skeletons at you and have fun running away and chopping them one by one for 40 hours.
>>388951978
Where's the option for "Yes, but it needs a name that better defines its meaning."
>>388952251
>>388952264
That is a self-imposed handicap
>>388952364
That is a game you don't like
>>388951978
A better term would be lazily implemented difficulty.
>>388950819
> vertical scanlines
shit
>>388952149
This fucking games AI literally whips out cards that are stronger than yours on the first turn. Also they don't tell you this but if you place a face down card in attack mode, the AI will bust out a fusion 90% of the time.
>>388952149
Any Bethesda game's difficulty slider. All is does is alter enemies' max health and attack ratings As artificial as it gets
>>388950819
artificial difficulty = ai that cheats
>>388950819
you must have felt very smart writing that post
>>388953508
That's cheap difficulty but not what I call artificial.
>>388950819
It's a stupid term because it doesn't really convey much meaning. Is the game hard or not? Is the game difficult in a way that's compelling or not? "Artificial difficulty" is just a term that allows people to throw out pejoratives without actually thinking about a game and its design decisions.

Fighting games that read your inputs
lol oh man yes these threads are the best lol everyone post your favorite meme
mm some gossip too hehe i love the drama hehe
which is your favorute?
>they shout something loud (my favorit haha LOUD!!! haha)
>totally random noises (also good haha)
>a reference to something you know
its hard to pick but please try your best hahae
i interpret artificial difficulty to just mean cheap ways of making a game hard. for example people have applied it to games which skew supposedly chance events against the player, which hamper the player's ability to perform tasks like unresponsive or unreliable controls, by bumping up stats which just make enemies bullet sponges or make playing more of a grind etc. but i've also seen these examples be contested. it's not a very useful term and usually people just mean to say that a game is hard but not in a good way
>>388953917
this isn't an oneyplays thread. it's an artificial difficulty thread.
>>388953838
That's the only reasonable way to do fighting game AI
Let's settle this
http://www.strawpoll.me/13838522
Dingdong lewds, drawn by the one and only Shadman.
What people mean by artificial difficulty exists but calling it "artificial" is incorrect. It's either poorly implemented difficulty or in some cases like with lives not actual difficulty at all.
>>388954013
>It's impossible to make computers smarter than people, we need them to cheat at games to win
You don't really believe that, do you?
>>388954146
>shadman
I could tell by the lack of trapezius and poor shading
>>388954281
Lives systems can be a legitimate source of difficulty though.
>>388954112
I like when they shout.
Making referencs is low tier humor. They litearlly require that the audience understands and is familiar with said reference for the humor to work. That's just lazy.
>>388956007
how so?
