I'm actually curious to see the future of the Yakuza series. The one thing I hope, which is up in the air since their budget isn't large, is I would like to see a smaller town/countryside be a set piece for a part of the game. I think having Tokyo is a staple and should stay, but I liked the brief countryside aspect in Yakuza 5. I would like to see more of that at times. Also I wish the story would take place in the summer. I'm burned out being in the winter most of the time.

Sounds like Yakuza 6 is exactly what you want. About half the game is in a small seaside town near Hiroshima.

I heard a part of Yakuza 6 is in a fishing town, and I can't wait to see it when it comes out in the US. Since they are localizing it, then I'll wait for it.

That said, I would love to see more rural mountain towns, and allowing some free roam in the woods.

I'm completely fine with this since Kiryu should have been done at the end of 2 since he would have walked away in a fine position instead we got a man who kept getting fucked over for 4 more games before being ultimately fucked over at the end of 6.
