Can someone fucking explain to me why "There must always be a Lich King"?

The argument I see is that the undead would go berserk without a Lich King to guide them and fuck up Azeroth. But am I missing something? Because that's fucking stupid.

Firstly, efore Arthas joined the Lich King in W3, the undead weren't berserk, and they weren't even a threat to most of Azeroth. Secondly, why are berserk undead terrifying? They'd be uncoordinated and so lose one of the few advantages they have over the living.

Finally, Arthas wanted to conquer Azeroth, right? If berserk undead are actually really effective, couldn't he just make them go berserk himself and then job done? The only explanation I can find is that he was going easy from the start, but then that ruins Arthas as a villain and Ner'zhul as a corrupting force.

Turalyon and Alleria were among the first to travel to outland waaaay back along with Khadgar and a couple of other people. They essentially all sacrificed themselves by closing the portal and trapping themselves in outland. When BC expansion hit and the portal returned so we went to outland we found Khadgar in shattrath and the other dudes, Trollbane in honor hold and Kurdran in shadowmoon valley, never found Turalyon or Alleria though. Khadgar said they haven't seen them in years either, some shit happened and they thought they may be dead.

We don't really know what happens at that point but since they're both warriors of light fighting with the naaru and there were a few naaru in outland we can presume they found some naaru that recruited them to take the fight to the legion on argus where the rest of their army of light is. Since we're on argus now, this is where we found them.

You need a soul to make a DK. Demon souls get flung back to Argus when they die, unless they get killed by a fuckhueg ammount if light, fel, or arcane energy, in which case they just dissolve. You as need a proper body, and most demons leave behind little more than bones (Which Warlocks could technically reanimate, as shown with Mannoroth), though they would be much weaker starting out. Oh and Varian doesn't have a body any more.

Shit is all fucked. If we let shadow and light duke it out and shadow won, the universe would be over, shadow's goal it to consume and corrupt the entire universe. Light's goal as we know is to just cleanse the corruption of shadow forever, which sounds fine and noble but they do odd things like trying to force illidan into a light champion, and that turalyon had golden glowing eyes when in the presence of xe'ra but are now gone, almost as if he was 'corrupted' by light or some such. The shadow priest artifact is a remnant of void that talks to you, and although it is trying to fuck with you the whole time it does talk about the light saying how they're not holier than thou as they pretend to be, and when you see shit like them trying to forcefully turn people it makes you wonder what the light really is trying to do. Also the fact that naaru, beings of pure light when the light is drained or corrupted in some form they straight up turn into void gods. Is that their true form? Are naaru just void beings who became light?

Who fucking knows, at the very least naaru are similar to illidan or even sargeras where they have a noble goal of cleansing corruption but are willing to take drastic measures, corrupt people, and destroy shit to reach that goal.
