Also, the lack of any in-battle RNG compared to the main games means you can properly come up with a plan and not have to worry about luck fucking you over, and skills like Luna can actually be relied on for once.

I like that there's no RNG but maps should be bigger (scrollable for example). Units should be able to move larger distances and the environment should matter more (not just defensive platforms). Currently the maps are too little for my taste and this favours cavalry a lot.
