The character announcements have all been for Dissidia AC, the arcade game. NT is the PS4 game. They're registered as completely separate games by Square.

TGS has Dissidia NT on their main stage and it's at the Sony stage.

They announced the closed beta at Evo by the way, 2 months before the closed beta went live.

They're also doing the freemium model for characters and shit since the season pass says you'll be given gil for every item you already own.

Dissidia's JP, ENG, and EU site for NT doesn't have Jecht in its roster either and he's been out since the beginning of this month.

None of Square's official media on any site has Jecht listed as part of NTs roster. It has everyone up to Ace and Ramza.

They have two slots open though on all sites for specialists to bring all of the classes to 6 characters. In the website code there is room for those spaces to be clickable.

However at this point that could be anyone. They might even pull something like Bandai Namco did with Gundam Versus where the PS4 game got some units before the MBON arcade game got them; then Bamco launched Perfect Pack G-Self in MBON and put it into PS4 VS later. Dissidia NT could get 2 characters before arcade with the current list of new arcade characters coming with the season pass to NT.

Dissidia has typical cross over problem. You only get a snap shot of a character. If you take the entirety of 6 and distill it into a single point then Kefka comes out as just a pure lunatic with too much sight gag comedy.

It's also why Cecil and Kain both come across as bipolar mood swing faggots, and Firion keeps talking about fruity shit and optimism even though by the end of 2 he's a stone cold mother fucker that's seen way too much shit and just wants everything to be over so he can go home. Or why Zidane is still acting like he just got off the ship and didn't experience anything from 9.

Warrior of Light and Garland are pretty much the only characters that are written like it's a continuing narrative primarily because him and Garland both treat Dissidia and every cross over like it's just another time loop before the finale of FF1.

FFVII Cloud is weird because he was more stoic in the Japanese text with sarcastic double meaning or cutting confidence in his remarks after the whole lifestream incident with Tifa. The English translation made him goofier than he was in the Japanese script when the comedy was more him being an unnecessary straight man most of the time.

Even the English AC did that weird shit with dilly dally shilly shally when that doesn't fit what the Japanese was saying.

Then you have AC which was basically a condensed version of the whole disc 2 and opening of disc 3 for whatever reason.
