What's the best Musou available on PS4?

Enjoying it more than I thought. The crossover interactions are pretty good. Not sure why people were saying it had no content. The Story Mode is huge as fuck and basically combines the Empires flow with the Warriors Orochi branching paths and stages.

People got spoiled by Hyrule Warriors' truckload of content, I would imagine a fair portion of /v/ thinks that's the norm.

Hyrule Warriors was pretty barebones at launch though. It got most of its content through DLC and updates plus an "enhanced" port over the course of like two years.

Still way, way more support than almost any other musou has gotten. Even the gimped Wii U version still has 4 adventure maps.

Of course, there's no accounting for the portion of /v/ that lurks just to find whatever criticisms of games they can, then regurgitates them without ever playing the game in question just to make themselves feel superior to actual fans.

I don't recognize enough of the characters and I don't care about many of the ones I do. Cool that they added Millenia though.

Not if you actually try to beat everything. It had 100s of hours of content. Add the DLC on top of that and you have one of the most content heavy games across Musou and Zelda.

So since Switch is confirmed getting Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires, Sanada Yukimura game and Warriors Orochi 3 Extreme..

Which is the best one to pick up?!

So does pretty much any other Musou if you want to 100%. Seriously, I'm not knocking Hyrule Warriors, but I don't know why some people try and treat it like it was some pioneer of the genre unless it was literally the only musou you ever played. At launch it only had 13 playable characters, 3 of which came in updates later, which is pretty low for a Musou.

WO3 is the best out of those in my opinion. Its got so many stages and characters to pick from.

Sanada was cool but it feels more like a game you play once through to see all the story and character interaction than the typical 100+ hour grind you can get out of other musou games.

Oka actually isn't even the most popular Toukiden in Japan though so I thought it was that. I'm guessing it's because she's the "main" girl of the first Toukiden sort of how Horo is the main girl of Kiwami. Then they probably picked Tokitsugu over the Professor so all three reps wouldn't be girls.

If nothing else, the crossover interactions are golden. The characters actually converse a lot during the maps too and the home base is super cozy.

I'm playing through Orochi 3 Ultimate at the moment, I'm having fun. Huge cast of characters, classic musou gameplay and lots of extra modes like the dungeon crawler-esque gauntlet mode.

I play the shit out of pretty much every musou, and i'm still liking it more than I thought I would. Character interactions are interesting. I feel like i'm going to run out of stuff to do after i get most of the endings though.
