However it is in recent years trendy to have choices and a lot of devs get lazy. There are more games that advertise choice and it ultimately being pointless than there are games where choices matter.

The latter games do exist though.

I don't remember which game it was, but I remember a particular case of a game which had 8 different endings, named A to H, in which 3 of the endings had 2 different variants regarding which characters they involved.

Harvester, I Have No Mouth and I must Scream, there are actually a fuckton of classic PC adventure games that have choices matter. It's actually really sad that theres this push by feminists for and the industry for games to deal with more "complex subject matter" like "real art" without being exploitative when in the 80s and 90s on PC that's all the medium was fucking doing. Not that "male power fantasies" or mindless violence or whatever is bad in the first place but even the criticisms are misguided given that all the people only heard of modern AAA fucking trash and don't even care about the subject in any real or honest way whatsoever

How can anyone even like this game? The dialog is horrid, and the story itself is even worse. It's a giant pandering pile of no gameplay at all, telling a story that wouldn't fit in a bad B movie. The only crowd it can possibly reach are hipster kids. And some weird side evolution of a weeb.
