That's overkill. I'm at 16GB and considering 32 but I don't see how any game can possibly meet that threshold. For me it's just to be able to run all my various media editing software at once.

I remember when Vista launched in 2006 and needed 1 to 2 GB of RAM just for the OS and people were losing their goddamned minds at how ridiculous that was of an increase over XP. What I'm getting at is that no, 4 gigs of system memory was not standard in 2002. It wasn't standard until 2010+.
