Fallout Online: Reloaded

everyone always says fallout online sucks because you just get ganked by random slavs, are they right? I love classic fallout

I remember trying to take control of The Hub with a group of guys probably 6 years ago. There were maybe 20 of us keeping watch when suddenly some blueshirt with a russian name comes running through town. Nobody knew what to do so one guy shot him. Maybe 1 minute later, a group of heavily armed ruskies all in power armor and packing rockets, miniguns, and lasers spawn in on all exits and slaughter us all in minutes.
All the regular suicide bombers spawning in on NCR trying to kill people at the shops.
All the shit I had to shovel just to afford a few bullets and a leather jacket.
Also the times when I tried to leave NCRs and noticed someone trying to follow me back to my tent. Good times. Pity no first party devs would have the balls to make a game as hardcore as Fonline.

Ehhh it depends on where you go, the hub seems pretty dangerous sometimes but from my experience it ain't too bad, i really haven't seen many ruskies on there lately. Besides, the wipe means that everyone starts out with nothing so its the perfect time to play.

Yeah, but that was kind of the beauty of the game. It was the polar opposite of WoW. Full item loss on death, lots of struggles between player factions. Mistrust when you encounter someone you don't recognize in an unguarded town.

That's the beauty of it.
It molds you into a cold blooded wastelander, and you learn real quick it's a dog eat dog kinda world.
To me, this makes the game even more immersive.
You think surviving in a post-apocalyptic is going to be easy?

are we all gonna start a clan together and play fonline 2 in the meantime until reloaded comes back then we allgo back over there?

Most of the time you start off running caravans until you gain enough caps to buy a base for your group.
After that, you'll stock up on equipment by going on loot runs or either crafting items.
The end game consists of a thing called town control, where you fight opposing factions to take over the northern cities.
this is where we want to be.

Is there a guid on how to git gud for firsttimers. I imagine organized and well traveled people just fuck you in the ass nonstop

In encounters it can be either realtime or turnbased.
Combat anywhere else is always realtime.

You can't be a farmer, but you can definitely be a medic although you almost always tag firstaid as a skill.
But to be able to make drugs and stimpacks, you'll need your doctor skill level to be adequate enough to learn to be able to craft them.

I dont really understand the combat. How does ap work if everything is in real tme now? You just aim and pull?

i imagine bigger guns that cost more ap will just have slower cooldown times vs something like a dagger. so a guy with a dagger could probably stab you like 3 times in the time it takes you to shoot him with a minigun or something

when you move AP doesn't regenerate.
Also different weapons require different amounts of AP to use.
for example two players have 10 AP.
The one with the minigun(which requires 7 AP to burst without perks) can only burst you once without waiting for AP to regenerate.
The guy with the P90(which requires 5 AP to burst) can burst you twice in a row without waiting for AP to regenerate.

Fuck Fallout Online, I remember when this shit came out. I had to learn basic Russian to even survive the spawn.
