But yeah start with the holy trinity, they should be pretty cheap in most resale shops, they should all be ten bucks or below. Unless you don't have a PS2 in which case emulations exist, although there are some graphical errors.

Don't use the stable release of pcsx2, it's very old. Download the latest dev build in the git section of pcsx2's site

Start with 4 if you have access to a PS2, but it's a bit slower and clunkier than AC5 and AC0. 5 is more story driven, Zero is the pinnacle of gameplay for the series IMO.

Alternatively, I recommend soft-modding your PS2 if you have one. Fats are the best since you can slap a hard drive (or even an SD card with the right adapters) on the back, and bam, you got a shit load of PS2 games without much load time. With slims you can use a USB stick to play games, or you can load them off your network.

do be warned that AC4 has way too damn many score-attack missions, it's kind of annoying
soft-modding is fairly easy too if you really, really can't be arsed to spend five bucks after shipping on a used copy of each (well, AC0 is like $20 from a quick google search, you should probably be able to find it cheaper)
