getting more money from nostalgifags and people who "omg i love this videogame im an old gamer i know a lot about videogames because i played a lot this videogame witouth a good graphics but still was the best videogame for me, a person elevated from the entire mass who likes to play videogames".

The only real excuse was that most of the remasters were for consoles that didnt have backwards compatibility or had them available as classic titles on digital distribution.

Remasters and remakes are necessarily a bad things as they are usually done by a different company so the original devs can get on with new game/sequel.

i bought the master chief collection because i was too poor to afford consoles when the og xbox and ps2 were around.
played 1-4 + odst in coop with a friend. well worth the money.

updated graphics like crash remastered
also some games like peace walker hd edition allows you to play the game on big screen with better controls and stable framerate
games that were released last gen shouldn't need a remastered treatment desu (cod4, bioshock, batman arkham)

If you like a series enough you would want to support the series and you would take enjoyment noticing the new improvments and differences.

The main reason for remasters is to get them on a newer consoles to increase the library and maximise profit from new buyers.
