Reminder that there will never be another Iwata

>no more nintendo direct with Iwata
I didn't even realize I miss it.
Iwata was a godsend, but was getting a little senile and listened too much to Miyamoto in the end.
Kimishima is nowhere near as prominent, but at least we're seeing a console aimed towards more "serious" gamers with more IP's. However, he really does think his buyers are braindead.

>getting a little senile
He was dying you fuckhead.
>virgin vs chad
There will likely never be another Iwata. It is very rare for someone with actual passion for creativity to hold a high-authority position. Especially someone who worked in the same field he is in charge of. Say what you want about Iwata and Nintendo, but he was a programming marvel and he legitimately loved video games.

LOL, good.

Nintendo's golden age was under Yamauchi though. He was just a businessman.
Iwata was charming in person, but he's the man who oversaw the production of the Wii and Wii U.

Under Iwata, we got Metroid Other M.
Under Kimishma we're getting Metroid Samus Returns and then Metroid 5 after that.
Good riddance
yamaguchi or whatever his name was was the best.
iwata is literal shit responsible for killing nintendo

1980s-2003 yamauchi
2003-2016 iwata
notice that insanely steep decline in quality

In a world with PS4 and XBONE Nintendos best path to profitability definitely does not lie with "serious" gamers. "Hardcore" titles are not what sold the gameboy, ds, or wii. There's no reason to think they even know how to make one (and sell it.) Clearly family-friendly titles is what they do best. The "braindead" buyers they should care about are actually far more intelligent than your average "serious" gamer - they're successful parents with good jobs who actually make money and just buy stuff for their children because it looks fun and they can afford it.

The unfortunate thing is this is at least part of why Nintendo hadn't made money for years before he died. He was too sentimental to make "unartistic" business decisions that really needed to be made, like going to mobile.
>you will never hear Iwata say "Nintendo Switch" in his funny accent

Thank god

This is a good thing the Switch is already getting more games than the Wii U did.

The Switch was planned and finalized by Iwata. All of what we're seeing now are projects that were started while Iwata was still president.
>Switch Nintendo's fastest selling console under Kimishima
>Company's stock has skyrocketed since he's taken over
