Shantae: Half-Genie Hero

Risky is short. Its fun going through all the levels with her, but if you've 100%d Shantae's story you'll breeze right through it.

Boco is right for once. I'm not particularly looking forward to the Sky + Rotty + Bolo campaign if they're still going to have the same stages.

Pirate's Curse has the best artwork.

This game was a let down on all fronts, the dlc is a let down as it's just a skin and maybe some new dialog(haven't played it), and that has now set up expectations for the future dlcs being letdowns, boy oh boy Wayforward, how deep will you dig Shantae's grave?

Let's not go that far. HGH is still fun while it lasts. And the dialogue is maybe the best and funniest its ever been.

Backtracking and reused levels - the game

If it hadn't been for the charming characters I'd have dropped it long before finishing.

I liked unlocking movement upgrades and abilities in Pirate's Curse way better.

Admittedly it could've been more, but I enjoyed what it was. Better than Risky's Revenge, which isn't saying much, but Pirate's Curse felt more refined.

yes yes I agree it's a fun game but Pirate's Curse was much better, I played through Pirates curse 5 times and HGH I 1 time. I sometimes wonder if most of the time and budget went into the artstyle change? I think it did.

If anything it was justvLACK of time. If they didn't have backers breathing down their necks demanding results, they probably could have delayed and improved it a bit.

Different story and dialogue (she says this is how it REALLY happened). New gameplay that's mostly like Pirates Curse, but with a few new gimmicks (like a Bionic Commndo-style grappling hook).
