Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

I want to get this game. I guess I shouldn't bother waiting for it to go on sale, since Nintendo first party never goes on sale unless it sells like shit. Considering the good reviews, this will probably stay $50+ for at least two years, right?

Also, I like your Joycon(s). I just got the Neon Yellow ones yesterday, and they look pretty nice. I'm considering importing the green + pink.

Currently in world 4-4, as someone who doesn't play TRPGs regularly I have to admit I had quite the rough time in some levels, especially when I had to keep the same HP from the previous stage and for reasons I lost a lot (i.e. enemies getting lucky etc.) which made everything far more interesting. If they patch the camera so you can controll it freely all the time AND it doesn't get stuck in battle the game becomes an easy 9/10

Question: How quickly are you able to make a party of all Mario universe characters? Also, is there any incentive not to? I might pick this up today.

So this game is worth a purchase? I went with the Yakuza remake but was looking into this to be comfy and play while out at work etc.

I'm still not sure how to feel about this game. It's like hearing that Minions actually has a good and interesting plot. This concept and the attitude the game carries itself with seems so triggeringly stupid and anti-integity, but the execution, artstyle, and gameplay seem exceedingly above par, maybe even great. It's such a strange feeling. Maybe I'll just rent it off of GameFly.

I'm stuck in a rut using only Luigi and Rabbid Luigi. The other characters don't compare in damage and utility. Someone convince me otherwise.

the incentive would be that each character has different abilities, weapons and sub weapons. I have Rabbid Luigi and regular Luigi on my team and they're both completely different characters, rabbid luigi is great at running through enemies and absorbing their health, lowering their weapon power and also firing off devestating missiles, whereas Luigi has amazing range and movement and can set off a drone that moves independently across multiple turns.

You have to stop being so OCD about stuff like this. Enjoy the absurd nature of it. The fact that they pulled it off so well is something that you should utilize to take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy something you never would've thought you could.

I've always hated the Rabbids, but I like Rayman and I think it's a very interesting concept. Especially how you have Mario and the gang shooting people with arm-cannons. It's wacky in the right way.

Also, turn-based strategy is practically normie-kryptonite. That's another level that makes this so interesting and fun.

Pretty easy desu, rabbid luigi should be able to take all 3 surrounding enemies out in his turn if you've upgraded his skill tree correctly, and bought him the right weapon, the other 2 guys are just placement and protection and all 3 can handle the smashers.

I just beat the first world and like it a lot, but it's disappointing that they didn't include a custom mode or multiplayer versus mode. Would've extended the replayability a lot. That being said, it feels like there's still a lot of great content left and potential for a solid sequel.

If they do make a sequel, I really hope they make the world more seamless and add versus/custom battles modes.

Very familiar, but the emphasis on moving your characters into one another, through enemies, onto enemies and through pipes makes it feel a lot more dynamic.

The hit chance system is a billion times better, it's either no sight, 0% chance of hit (hit cover, which damages the cover or detonates it with an effect), 50% chance of hit (or hit cover) or 100% chance of hit. No randomised point blank 95% chance shots missing. So much better for planning ahead and, you know, strategy.

I beat the ancient gardens, went back and did the 1-S stage and then went straight into the challenges. My rabbid luigi has vampire dash, can dash through 2 enemies at once, his dash is powered up to 50 damage and I have a weapon that can do 45-50 damage so it's pretty easy to clear through the 3 spawning enemies with just him. If there's a straggler, Mario or Luigi can deal with him with their redundant (until the smashers appear) weapon move.

When collectibles are well-hidden or locked behind skill-based challenges, those add to the gameplay. The only collectibles I'm aware of that don't do that are random drops, that basically require you to replay the level over and over again with no control beyond that over whether you achieve it or not.

If you have collectibles hidden behind actual skill and exploration, you could gather those in a single run if you're good enough. A good example of a game that does this is Tropical Freeze. You can collect all the KONG letters and puzzle pieces in one go, and they require you to squeeze all the juice out of each level. Often the puzzle pieces will be so cleverly hidden that you'll have to comb the stage several times before you find it, but nothing is preventing you from finding it the first time around.

I love x-com and tactical turn-based games. Like Silent Storm for example.
And this is one of those but done in a different manner with some innovative mechanics that make it different. And the style is (in my opinion) great and will definitely make the kids want to play it which is good - let the kids play smart games and move on to x-com and the like.
