This is not entirely accurate. In the ability to punch, technique is more important than speed and physical strenght when it comes to generating all the force your body can generate. This is the theory behind the "one-inch-punch" technique. No matter how strong you are or how fast you are, if you don't know how to proprerly draw power through your punch from the motions and positioning of your body, you will hit like a faggot.

I'm 5'11 at 165 pounds and I have demonstrated that I can hit as hard as people who are 40 to 80 pounds heavier than I am and in relatively good shape. All of this power is drawn from HOW I punch and nothing else. My speed comes from the fact that I have , as I said, 80 pounds less to drive.

But this is just my theory, though, maybe I'm just really strong for my weight or maybe it's just that I subconsciously know how to draw as much power from my body as I can through physical conditioning and Martial Arts training.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not arguing against what you said. Obviously, you are right. I was just making a point against his theory that speed generating=power generating when power comes as much from technique as it comes from body. I'm really bad at explaining things, but this is, basically, what my school taught me. My instructor was 280 pounds in shape, he was one of those strongman kind of people. Naturally he was a beast, trained he was a monster and with technique, he was beyond anything I had seen. The force he generated was amazing to watch and he always argued that, despite being really strong, most of his strenght came from the way he hit, so that's what he taught to us and, demonstrably, it proved to be true. Despite a difference in weight, every student hit like a heavyweight and heavyweights hit like a truck. I don't know how to explain it, but through the conditioning that he made us go through, it's like I can generate strenght from my entire body in my punch. I put every of my 165 pounds into my punch.

but, then again, maybe everyone learns the same thing, but I've been able to best or resist much stronger and heavier people in bouts of strenght. so that's where my theory comes from. Building strenght and muscle is very important, but traning to use ALL of it is also very important, because most people can become strong, but not have a single idea of how to put it all to profit.
