Gameplay has been slowly getting more casualized and generally easier. The fights in MHFU felt unfair, the way a fight with a huge monster is supposed to feel. Once you could easily force knockdowns and defend yourself extremely well it began to feel more like a chore.

Hey, it was nice to have an actual story and characters with multiple hub areas. Gathering hall is still there if you just want endless monster gauntlets, though honestly the story and cutscenes are still so minimal idk why anyone would be bothered by it.

I recently played it just cause, it was fun and I really liked playing with long sword but I was missing all the fun features from 4 (like the long sword being able to final hit) and above so I just went back to playing gen after abit. it was cool to go back and see how the old mon hun games played tho. 4 was my first game btw.
