If the TF2 team does decide to focus on 6v6 balance would you quit TF2 for good?
>>388821394
no, I like 6v6, and balancing the game for competitive is not going to negatively impact the rest of tf2.
look at CS:GO and Dota 2, both of Valve's other games. They are balanced around competitive and pub players do just fine
I don't understand what people think balancing for 6s/comp in general means. Do people think it means deleting everyone besides scout/soldier/demo/medic in pubs or what?
What are people so scared of?

people are scared of change
pub players AND 6s players alike

>I don't understand what people think balancing for 6s/comp in general means
I think it means buffing the weak classes.
Hey /v/,yoreugleh
>>388823179
that's how i view it too, but i see both comp "elitists" and exclusive pubbers whine about potential changes. Like i'd love for comp pyro to be more than an uber bully and ned/engi bitch (HL that is)
Guess people just don't like change in general
But I already quit for good five years ago.
Maybe I'll go play a few rounds to see what it's like now.

AUGH

god tf2 and garry's mod are cringefactories

There aren't any alternatives that even come close to it so, no.

it would mean weapons be useless in 12 vs 12 like the dead ringer or bonk

Escape plan nerf anon?

Technically speaking, if the game is balanced well for competitive, it should be balanced for quick play as well.
The important thing is to make viable every single class (and every single combination of classes) in 6v6. At that point, all the game will benefit of that balance.
