Just played PUBG several times for the first time. It is pretty cool I must say. I love exploring, there are some cool places. If they add more detail/unique places that would be awesome. Maybe a different map, underground areas.. etc. Not bad though for $30.

Monster Hunter XX

I can't read a fucking thing but I'm having a great time.

There's quite a lot of new things, but the base gameplay is mostly the same.
Your leader takes part in battles now and has largely the same stats as your expedition members.
You find and craft items like in an RPG.
You can walk around in towns in 3D, while the overland movement happens on a 2D map.
Combat is a lot faster, with most enemies going down in a hit or two.+
The camping screen will make you want to tear your hair out the first time you see it but it's actually pretty well-made.

There's a couple of changes I don't really like, but they're not so bad as to ruin the fun.
Your crew is smaller. Most of your crew members are story characters and they have very incompatible personalities so you'll be juggling choices all the time. You can create custom characters but their personality traits are randomly assigned.
Not sure if the whole campaign is on a timer, but the first and the second chapters definitely are. I'd probably find a cheat to disable it as I don't think it serves any purpose.
There's base building and the number of upgrades you manage to build factor into the endings, though I don't know how heavily.

Vikings is a lot more polished, but a little more tedious.
You run around maps, BG2 style and click on barrels to get crafting materials.
The combat is really tight and the characters are decently fleshed out.
The story is very reactive and there are tons of choices to make.
The writing ranges from absolutely mediocre to atrociously bad. The highschool revelation that "Gods and myths are just stories people tell each other to make sense of the world." is presented as some sort of arcane wisdom for big brain nibbas. There is also use of modern words like "cool" and "awesome" in the modern context of those words.
The quests are okay, but nothing really interesting.
It's slightly buggy, but certainly playable, I only encountered one game breaking bug, but I was able to fix it on my own.

Overall - 7/10, it's pretty good, but not great.

I started on Demon Souls again. Man, am I a careful scaredy-cat. My SO loves watching me play (and laughing at me) because I turtle everywhere and lean over in the couch to check behind corners. At least I barely ever die (but the bosses take sooooo long).

MGS4. Was never able to play it because I didn't have access to a PS3. Going to play Demon Souls and The Last of Us after.
I played a bit of the Destiny 2 Beta but it is not really my kind of game.

That is pretty far away. You might be half way once you finished the Catacombs if you have done Cathedral of the Deep too, and exclude the DLC. I really loved DS3 and I would say it is well worth a play through, but if you are just playing it to get to the end, you still have a while to go.

Half Life 2 and a bit of Ghost Recon Wildlands when I just want to fuck around and shoot cunts.

Finally got around to finishing Deus Ex MD and I'm just about to finish up Dishonored 2. I enjoyed both of these games, but I couldn't be bothered to finish either for the longest time even though I was on the last areas for both. Not sure what I'm gonna move onto next after I'm done. Might just go through both again in ng+ or something I dunno.

Games in general have had a hard time of keeping my attention lately. It's a sad state of affairs.

I backed up my saves!
Trying not to savescum, and I don't really need too, but I sure like to save a lot
My save folder is 900mb and I'm paranoid it will slow down the menus or something so I backed up the saves and deleted them in the game

Remind me, which one is Sierra?
I mostly go by last names because some menu only shows those and I try to avoid getting confused when I select party members and assign equipment because you don't always see the faces
