Frankly, the Mansion was a bit of a letdown. It took quite a long time to get there (two zones before) and then, it's quite small compared to other places. I found Jindosh very quickly and frankly, in a random fashion, didn't look very protected. The overall design is great no doubt and it's still a very very nice idea done very well but I don't know... a bit of a letdown somehow.

Yet Stilton Manor and surprisingly Conservatory were fantastic.

I find that happens in alot of games, you get drawn into previews or hype from players about a specific part but then by sheer luck or in random exploring you finish it without exploring much.
The mansion still kinda sucks for not having alot of things to do/find.

Absolutely, the fact that is was the first mission introduced in the first trailer certainly means that. All in all, compared to the other main "dungeons" (Addermire, Stilton Manor, Grand Palace, Conservatory), the Mansion was easily the smallest to crawl into, there wasn't much to visit and it was a pain to move inside, great design and overall great execution but the concept was better on paper I suppose. Plus Jindosh was a pretty straightforward target, compared to the Duke or even Breanna.

The level is still very good, and probably better than everything of D1, but it's probably not even in my top3 of D2.

I can understand why, I guess it's totally personal but I really like Natural Museums so it's an easy pick, I really liked the main gallery with the owls (same way I liked the salughterhouse in KoD), I liked the witches because they don't act and are placed like regular guards meaning you need to move and check for them a bit differently, the level is big but you aren't ever really lost which is convenient, the approach had nice stuff without being too long like with Clockwork Mansion. I wouldn't say it's the best D2 level, but it's a nice traditionnal level that clicked with me, yet in that regard, Grand Palace is probably superior now that I think about it...

KoD+tBW was 6 missions, this one is supposedly of the same breadth so I guess 4-5 missions is a safe bet, there's apparently at least 3 new levels and I guess one or two returning (probably Edge of the World, I would hope for a ruined Clockwork Mansion but...). No hard info, the game is only out in like 2 weeks though...

Why do we need to kill The Outsider? With him giving Corvo all these cool abilities the bad guys would have won in D1.

It's not really a trilogy. I know Death of the Outsider is a stand alone, but it's basically an expansion to Dishonored 2. With that said, Dishonored is very under-appreciated on /v/, in my opinion.

Secondly, that doesn't make Dishonored not a stealth series. Thief also looks real silly when your light gem shows you 100% in the dark and you're right in front of a guard that you can see with 30% clarity and he just looks right past you.

The Royal Conservatory is definitely the strongest level in Dishonored 2. No gimmicks, just a straight up mean level that is very well designed and filled with good enemies.

Wasn't Daud a famed mass murderer before he even met the Outsider? Sounds like Daud is once again pushing the blame to someone else, just like with Corvo in the Flooded District in D1.

the first one was a raving success and the second at least critically tho it went kinda under everyones radar
