I feel like the series is too hamstrung by its dedication to VN-style storytelling. Fate/Stay Night could be really well served by having a more action-adventure style of storytelling like Nier or Kingdom Hearts or something. Being so dialogue heavy makes the world feel a lot more mundane. Literally every single version of Nero was a costume in Extella. Nero Caster got so ridiculously popular that her appearance in Extella Link is a given.

With the bump in graffix, we've likely got to deal with the fact that Vita version is kill. Half expect Switch version to be kill too.

Seeing as Extra has been a handheld series its entire life (Vita was clearly the lead platform for Extella.) It's going to be interesting to see how Link performs on home console only.

Won't happen. Mahoyo flopping broke Nasu's heart, and really only solidified that Fate is the only go-to series for him.

Everything Type Moon these days just now revolve around masters and servants. Type Moon used to be a lot more well rounded with their concepts. You had vampires, japanese demons and church militants in Tsukihime, mages and ancient heroes in Fate, ghosts and creepy buddhism stuff in Kara no Kyoukai, ayy lmaos in Angel Notes, super powered mental patients in DDD. But too bad all these interesting stuff is now being swallowed into the Fateverse instead of being part of the Nasuverse.

Well, considering that Mahoyo was supposed to be only the first part of a trilogy that got canned, it was indeed a flop. Other devs or writers would have continued making it as long as it reaped in a profit.

Extra is basically set in the future, mana on earth has dried up and the grail war is now virtually held in a giant supercomputer on the moon (the moon cell) put there by ancients, your character has a terminal disease and was fully uploaded to the moon as a npc but manages to regain awareness and fights in the grail war eventually winning and depending on the ending either staying in the moon cell or getting transferred back to earth in a new artificially created body considering extella staying on the moon seems canon
