I'm a long time fan of the series. Played every game (even the NES ones).

Although MGS V was unfinished, the core gameplay and stealth on that game is unchallenged. The stealth of MGSV is like sex. I get that the open world aspects of the game, and the story, are both weak. But as a stealth game, it surpasses everything else in the medium.

Even Chaos Theory, a game I still hold in high regard, doesn't hold a candle to MGSV's stealth. I know half of /v/ is going to disagree with me now, but that's just how it is. MGSV's core gameplay is unparalleled.

It's not bad but I'm still a Snake Eater guy. How many game series go so over the top with so many original scores and true autism tier plots? One thing you can't fault Kohima for is a lack of effort.

I'm sorry but I just don't respect this kind of song as much as I do an orchestra backed vocal piece. So much reverb and a blown out guitar track really don't demand the precision of a track like Snake Eater or Heaven's Divide. It's no where near the same undertaking.

What really holds it back is the lack of challenge, after some point it becomes so easy to the point of being a chore, i can't play it anymore without restricting myself to not using tranquilizers/stun firearms and increasing the enemy sight through mods
