The fire flower with bouncing projectiles is a lot more fun especially when you use roll jumping to gain a lot of momentum. The flying power-ups have always made the game easier.

100%'ing the second set of 8 worlds is a nice challenge.

NSMB1 was great.
You jaded fucks are just giving the game shit because of the later entries being rehash-y

It was quite easy but at the time there hadn't been a 2D Mario in forever so it was welcome. Blue shell is still my favorite Mario powerup.
If only I knew then what I know now.

I think people typically find the first "New" game that they played to be the "best" by their standard. I enjoyed the first one, the multiplayer really did make me enjoy NSMBW more than I would have if I just played it solo, but by the time 2 and U came out, I was just done with the series, it felt too samey.

3D Land to World was a good transition, I feel like. I'd like to see a new one in the vein of those games but with some branching paths in the levels and a SMW style world map.

Not having the waggle control of the Wii game helps. The physics in all of the NSMB games are too slippery though and I wish they had just made Mario control like he does in World, rather than SM64.
