Because I enjoy Birdie but I have no urge to ever wait for online matches. Rank also doesn't interest me, so when I do play, it's to see if I like the new characters and get some random casual games in. Unfortunately I don't have many friends that are interested in fighting games at this level. Really only one. As far as the local scene, if I have time, I'll go, but it's getting few and far between my 9 to 5 and freelance gigs. sorry for the blog. I really do enjoy the game, just wish it had more than weekly "challenges."

I fired it up a few weeks ago and spent 30 minutes in the queue getting 0 matches. Then I played USF4 for the first time in... I dunno, years. And got matches in maybe a minute tops, with 20% of the playerbase.

Tekken 7 took too long to come out, the same with Tekken 6. People just moved on.

Tekken's popularity really got hit hard by Tekken 6. it was scheduled to be released in 2007 for PS3, but delayed 2 years, just to make a 360 release. Tekken is never that popular again after that.
