It depends on your priority. If you really want to get a specific banner unit, sniping is the way to go. Doing all five is more cost effective for getting SI material however, but runs the risk of getting your rate reset by any 5 star of the wrong color and can result in less of your orbs being dedicated to the color of the unit you may want.

I am a tiny bit concerned about the free summoning event banner. Not much, but a little bit.

It doesn't say how many days it'll be there for. Will it simply stay forever until I use it? Somehow I kind of doubt that. If I ignored it for a full year I doubt it'd still be there.
Either way I kind of figure I should ignore it until the tail end of the regular CYL banner. And then simply grab the one I failed to get.
