AN EGYPTIANS
i see reddit woke up early today
AYO HOLUP
The combat and stupid rpg crap shoehorned in. I'd buy it if it weren't for that.
Also the protag looking Egyptian but sounding like a nigerian drug lord is a bit weird.
>the europeans are the bad guys and the africans are the good guys
>again
They're not even pretending anymore, are they?
>>388783452
Black people
Ubisoft.
So will we get to kill Cleopatra with a snake at the end?
>>388783452
it's an Assassin's Creed game
>>388783452
No rape gameplay
>>388784513
your wife does probably
>>388783452
It's just been beaten to death but every time it starts to rot away ubi pours on a coat of paint and parades it around again hoping people will thinks as cool as the first few times they did it. It's dead, Ubisoft just needs to realize it.
AYOOOOOO
HOLUP
I'm just waiting for the huge manufactured outcry over Cleopatra not being African.
>>388784420
They always fuck that shit up, they had a bunch of British sounding civs running around screaming shit in the streets of revolutionary France.
> My ancestors =>)
>>388783452
It's AC in 2017, it simply is a flaw.
>>388784867
>I'm just waiting for the huge manufactured outcry over Cleopatra not being African.
>FUCK THIS GAME FOR BEING HISTORICALLY ACCURATE
The african kings were fucking greek and everybody knows it. You think Marc Antony gave up his kingdom for a negress?
>>388784956
>not switching to French audio and using subtitles
It's the only way to play Unity.Italian audio significantly improves II and Brotherhood as well.
>>388784464
"people"
>this kills the pol fag
>>388784956
To be fair the general civilian chatter was in French. I guess they didn't want to annoy people with bad French accented English for the MCs. Couldn't have been that hard though.
>>388785117
I would actually consider trying that, I did hear unity has gotten significantly better since launch, but I was so put off by the launch, I finished the shit ass story and dropped it, fucking Ubisoft, how do you fuck up an AC in the French revolution?
>>388783452
>egypt not 100% black
>>388785260
Yeah, the story was lacking. Dead Kings (the DLC that Ubisoft gave away as an apology for the shit launch) is great and takes place right after it.
Weird that they actually did something to try to fix customer relations then, yet did nothing after Syndicate - which had a better launch but was a much lower quality product all-around.
>>388785260
>>388785593
Unity is real underrated and excels against Syndicate but suffers on the story
I actually like Arno

KANGZ
>>388785714
Same. While he shares a lot with Ezio, I didn't find him nearly as obnoxious. The worst he did was not put his foot down with Elise.
WHAT WAZ WEE?
KANGS, BRUHH
>>388783452
>eagle drone
>homing arrows
>leveling system
>combat looks shit
>couldn't even be bothered to make an animation for searching bodies/containers
>movement system looks identical to Syndicate's, which was awful
>>388786239
As someone whose played the game. All of your meme arrows are wrong.
>>388786239
>builds game around gay ass parkour element even though it's not fun
>>388785714
I wanted to like Arno, and I wanted to like Elise, and there are parts that are okay, but the story overall felt horribly paced. Characters and plot points felt wasted and under utilized, it was a mess, from a technical point it was amazing, easily the best AC in a long time, but it fell so short in everything else.
>>388786385
Well then tell your bosses to show some better gameplay for the game then.
>>388786527
I think Arno was a good character when he wasn't with Elise
>>388786385
>nuh-uh
Amazing argument there, bud.
>>388786613
I can't confirm or deny, it's been too long, I would need to go replay it to remember.
>>388786482
It was moderately fun in the older games, because the settings were built to fit that movement system. A lot of the Assassin Tombs were freerunning challenges, too.
That started to go out the window with III, got worse with IV, and died completely with Syndicate.
>>388786779
yup, can't say you're wrong
Syndicate is a good example of why the setting should maybe not go past muskets technological wise
when you unlock the good pistols its GG
>>388786878
I enjoyed the first Watch Dogs as a modern AC game. Never liked Desmond, anyway.
>>388787084
Till this day I think Watch Dogs 2 was designed to be a modern AC but ubisoft decided to make a new IP around it
>>388787157
The parkour being more of a focused definitely makes it seem so. I would've definitely preferred that, as I think WD2 is a step back in almost every way.
>>388784446
poor snowflake can't handle a few games with nigger protags when the vast majority of western media has had white leads for decades
Im honestly only salty about the combat at the fucking hit numbers.
Other than that its all fine.
>>388783452
Memes aside, Ubisoft themselves are a pretty fucking massive flaw.
>>388787723
Not him, but most people are fine with black protagonists, as long as they fit the game/setting.
San Andreas is the best example I can think of. AC has done well with this in the past, with Liberation and Freedom Cry, but they've obviously dropped the ball on this series since then.
>>388787754
>salty
Neck yourself.
>>388788123
Bayek is black????
>>388788319

>>388788319

>>388788319
WE WUZ KANGS meme has poisoned peoples minds to actually think this
I thought WE WUZ was meant to stop black people from thinking they were Egyptian
>>388788319
Hes this colour.
>freerunning is one button, maybe two
>no option to run normally OR plow through civilians
>can't fight unarmed
>can't disarm enemies/use their weapons
>countering made too easy
>less weapon variety
>can't dye robes
>hookblade never used in the series again
>settings (aside from Unity) getting progressively less focused on freerunning
>forced SJW shit in Syndicate
>still continuing the busted modern storyline
>didn't have the balls to make WD an official AC game in modern times
>Syndicate introduced the most dumbed-down combat yet and had a grappling hook/zipline
>Origins has a goddamn eagle drone
AC is fucked.
>>388789994
forgot
>can't pickup/throw/hide dead bodies
>forcing cheap RPG elements
>>388789994
Sounds like features got removed in the newer games.
t. someone who has only played up to IV
It is literally more realistic that ancient aliens built Egypt than that niggers actually did anything.
>>388790494
You should play Rogue.
>>388789994
are you talking about ACs flaws? Unity had like half of that shit
>>388789994
Im pretty sure like half of your complaints did not exist in Unity which had great customization like the best in the series and it changed the combat.
>>388790904
>>388791013
The points apply to the series post-Revelations, which itself had a lame story and ridiculously bad Desmond segments. Of course, there are exceptions - like being able to dye your clothes in Unity.
The unarmed/disarm and carrying dead bodies features weren't removed until Unity.
>>388791303
Unity had unarmed combat though?
>>388785384
To be honest, money has to come from somewhere and there is nothing in Detroit.
Expect for houses for the factory workers, but there are no factories anymore so they don't fulfil any purpose. Which makes them extremely cheap.
Either get the industry running (why, buying from Mexico and transporting them here is way cheaper) or raise the demand and lower the supply. Demolish the houses. Raise it's prices, make them unaffordable to riffraff.
>>388784420
You're mad because they actually changing assassins Creed for once?
>>388791384
It's been a while since I've played it. Do you have to unequip your weapon to use it?
Another one I just remembered
>can't use hidden blades during open combat in Unity and Syndicate
>>388790847
Heard good things about that, I probably will if I can ever bother to even finish IV, haven't played in a long time.
>>388791554
>can't use hidden blades during open combat in Unity and Syndicate
That is legit a fucking good thing
>>388791447
Not him, but they've changed AC before. The series was better when it focused more on the freerunning.
>>388791554
>Complains about parries being to easy
>complains about how we cant use parry blade in combat
?????
>>388791630
I see your point, but using them in AC1 was an actual challenge. This ties into my point about countering being made too easy.
>>388791701
see
>>388791732
The balance of combat got fucked with AC II having larger windows for parrying.
>>388791657
When was it EVER focused on free running? It was a neat feature in the first game but that's it
>>388791831
and this goes back to my point with Unity being the best AC
>>388791947
I agree desu
Too bad black fags are the loudest which encouraged ubi to release a shitty spinoff
>>388791838
Freerunning/climbing, I should say. AC1 through Revelations.
>>388791947
As far as the combat, I agree.
>>388792048
Its a mix of AC1 and Black Flag idiots
>AC games are shit but we actually this one is really good
AC is a flawed series that for some reason I always end of playing. Unity has by far the best gameplay and changes in the series but lacks in story. While AC3 was really focused on the story aspect and I think its one of the strongest narrative ACs but lacks focused gameplay
>>388792048
Black Flag would be my least favorite AC game if not for Syndicate. Too many tailing missions, an underwhelming story, awful modern segments, and the awful ship missions "minigame". I've got other issues with it, but they're mostly nitpicks (or so I've been told).
>>388792330
AC4 has kind of a solid story though
>>388792403
Not really. It starts off alright, but I think it goes to shit when Edward flawlessly fools the Templars into thinking he's their contact. It's all downhill from there.
>muh Sage
>muh "friends" that all died
>muh dead wife
>>388792260
Mommy Jade nailed the entire reason why AC became such a major success - being able to go anywhere is unfiltered fun. Seeing a building and just climbing it is blissful. Being able to plan out your plan of attack has been a stealth game staple for years, but bundling that with fantastic vertical movement? Goddamn.
I still can't get over how beautiful Unity is.
>>388792330
I feel you, I'd put BF lower largely because Syndicate's protags are more endearing. Otherwise they kind of trade off evenly in pros/cons.
black guy here. from watts, nigga REPRESENT. egyptians were red men who derived from atlateans. they had the same skin color and same 12 great gods do you even read manly palmer hall's esoteric texts? secret teaching of all ages? it's all there and it's real. i'm fuckibg BLACK. i ain't no damned egyptian
Ezio Trilogy < Kenway Saga
Seriously only AC2 had a good story. Brotherhoods was just actually I forget Brotherhood since it was that boring and fucking Revelations.
and guess who wrote Syndicate the guy who wrote Brotherhood.
>>388792652
I fucking hated Evie. Also
>worst combat in the series
>least amount of weapon variety in the series
>terrible setting for freerunning
>grappling hook/zipline band-aid
>helix rift is lazy compared to Unity's
>have to crouch to wear hood, which every little cutscene resets
>almost all of Jacob's outfits have dumbass top hats
>that one guy that's obviously a woman in men's clothing but no one bats an eye at
The Jack the Ripper DLC is absolute cancer, too.
>>388792902
B&R were thoroughly enjoyable and 3 wasn't lacking at all. The guy who helped write Syndicate also wrote 2, brotherhood, revelations, and 3 - your point babe?
>>388793296
Ooh and
>probably the worst final boss in the series
>modern story is still shit and is only experienced through cutscenes
>>388793296
Yeah it was definitely pretty bad. It's weird seeing Syndicate get less shit than Unity (and in some cases literally being praised) just because it performed better.
>>388793535
>Syndicate get less shit than Unity (and in some cases literally being praised) just because it performed better.
This shit pisses me off Unity is superior in everyway
>>388793535
I actually had a problem where driving carriages would make the framerate plummet (this being on the Gold Edition, because I was retarded).
>>388792652
The exploration thing is exactly why origins looks great.
In previous games you could always go wherever you wanted, but when you get there all that's waiting is a chest with some currency at best
With the rpg-esque mechanics getting gear and skill points will feel more rewarding
>>388793535
Only normies say Syndicate is good and its the same people who always say AC sucks. Actual ACs fan know Unity is miles ahead of Syndicate
>>388794531
Plus you have no minimap and the only way to unfog your main map is to actually travel around
So exploring will be especially important. Personally I'm excited to just fly around as senu and see things from a perspective we haven't been able to before, aside from when you sync on a viewpoint.
He doesn't have an egyptian vulture
