miiverse has been a thing since 2013 retard

A more orthodox 3D Zelda game that has an open sandbox (not open world), dungeons, amazing music and great boss fights.
>>
>>388782404
I'd like them to keep the BoTW concept but set it in a more populace more urban environment.
>>
I'd rather they do like they've almost always done and rebuild the next Zelda from scratch, even if that means pushing it off for years or even the next console. BoTW was pretty damn fun but ANOTHER fuck-huge world dependent on environmental interaction and a handful of gadgets sounds like a slog.

We get to choose who to romance. I mean, come on, why introduce so many waifu's, and we end up with Zelda no matter what? It's unfair.

They already did that with Skyward Sword.

>smaller world
>more dungeons
>four lateral dungeons, like the Divine Beasts, and four proper dungeons, with keys and maze-like rooms
>remove durability, but keep the movesets, giving players a single spear, axe, and sword (later becoming the Master Sword, of course)
>remove numbers and RPG elements entirely
>keep the paraglider and climbing; these are some of the best features in any game I've ever played
>keep the artstyle
>allow orchestral music to return
>please reboot the franchise; Ganon kidnaps Zelda, Link has to save her with the mythical Master Sword, and he must collect the shattered Triforce - no extra crap that bogs down the experience, like Sheikah tech
>make Link thicker
BOTW is already a top 5 game for me, but these changes would make the next Zelda a guaranteed 100% perfect game

I haven't played much of botw yet but I like the idea of weapon loot desu, just not the shitty durability system.

A way to upgrade weapons to be more durable and to repair them would be perfect, you could keep your favourites for as long as you are willing to put effort into them. Honestly I'd like a diablo-like loot system where weapons all have random variations and effects to keep it fresh and interesting, but without dedicated legendary gear that you grind for, zelda should never be about gear grinding.

To all the people shitting on BoTW here, can a single one of you name a single other game with a chemistry engine so fine-tuned that you can light grass on fire, have that fire kill a wolf, which drops meat, take the meat, proceed to take out wood and drop it on the fire, have it catch alight with a campfire, then let that fire persist and warm up your temperature, then put a piece of meat next to it and have it dynamically change state into a cooked piece of meat that you can eat to recover even more health than it would have normally?

Nice job though, trying to hand wave that and make the game look shit because it didn't meet your unrealistic expectations. BotW has a living, breathing world. Its map size is only part of it, more important are the environmental, climate-influenced and chemical interactions that make it come alive. Why do you hate it? Because you think Witcher 3 or Bloodborne is better or something? Who the fuck cares if your generic levelling RPG number 502251 has a bigger or more "dense" map (whatever that means)? I doubt you can name a single more in-depth game released in the last 5 years, let alone this year.

Minecraft gets damn close to that, only exclusion is temperature. Also, it doesn't matter unless its implemented in a way that is fun.
>>
>>388788053
I don't think any song in BOTW is specifically ass. Every single one of them is good, in my opinion. They just don't lend themselves well to listening outside of the game.
Most horror games have great music, but you won't remember many of the songs afterwards. It's more about creating atmosphere than a memorable melody.

The argument is that Zelda games are never made anymore.

They take fucking 6 years of development and when you get it, it wasn't even worth the time.

SS and BotW were both supposed to be revolutionary best ever games of the series and they both weren't, and will only get shit on constantly while everyone waits for the game that is supposed to fulfill their expectations, but nobody will get it until the switch is already dead.

I actually think BotW's OST is genius, it's just really subdued and a very different style to the past games, but it fits very well with the setting and overall theme of the game. Without getting too technical, past zelda games have a more cinematic soundtrack (i.e. music you may associate with film scores), whilst BotW went for an "impressionistic" style, which is generally more minimal in tone. Some tracks in BotW are arguably too subtle, though, to the point where the average listener won't pick up the melody since it's more based upon arpeggio of harmonies rather than having a distinct melody (sometimes referred to as "mood music"). As a pianist though I'm biased as the piano-based arrangements of BotW give me a huge boner.

Daily reminder that Breath of the Wild has the best final boss in the series.
I love Zelda, but the bosses are the weakest part of the series; Nintendo knows this, and capitalized on it by making a final boss that rides solely on the back of its atmosphere and soundtrack.

Building upon BotW:
A Hyrule that isn't as empty. The fact that BotW was post-apocalyptic (but not really) gives me hope that the next game can be set in Hyrule as well, but without looking similar.
Ganon/dorf that isn't a mindless blob of molten hard candy.
Good boss fights.
Good music.
Full dungeons that have challenging puzzles, are part of the overworld and have bosses that are vastly different from one another.
Items, new and old. Hookshot would be amazing for endgame mountain scaling.
Green clothes, not blue. What the fuck Nintendo.
Better combat.
Far better weapon system, or just let me use Master Sword all game.
Engaging story that isn't told through flashbacks.
Classic fantasy setting, not this semi-futuristic shit.

Probably missed a few things. I enjoyed BotW a lot and I am looking forward to the second DLC, but it wasn't really Zelda enough for me. Overworld and exploration was good, but I want the dungeons to be the meat of the game, as they should be. As amazing as Hyrule Castle was, there wasn't a single fucking puzzle in there.
>>
>>388788858
>I'd take four good dungeons over eight that outstay their welcome

The Zelda team would be incapable of making eight dungeons with the depth of the four divine beasts. Maybe regular dungeons, sure; but the divine beasts can't be replicated on a large scale. It would get stale, and they'd run out of ideas. It's a miracle that they were even able to get four dungeons feel distinct in BOTW, when you have all your abilities straight from the start.
That game was just designed in a godlike way.

Keep everything BotW does. In fact, start the game in the area where you played BotW. The whole area is explorable like in BotW. Hyrule citizens are trying to restore the kingdom, explore the ruins and etc.

But you can also cross over to the lands west and north. These new areas will be just as big as the area in BotW. Based off the highlands and mountain areas in Zelda 2. There will also be a lot of temples and overworld mazes to explore.

The story will be about saving various villages who were cut off from Hyrule for thousands of years and have developed their own unique culture.

I'd rather have a solid overworld without dungeons than the bland overworld that games like TP and Skyward Sword had.

But it would be ideal to have a solid overworld and underworld. It would also be nice if the underworld was interconnected and just as big as the overworld. Not split into separate dungeons/temples.

Make the boats more like a canoe than a raft, mashing attack to turn feels pretty clunky. Add onto the movement systems, something like a grappling hook could make climbing faster, and let you turn more harshly while shield surfing by grappling a tree. Have a few outfits hotkeyed in loadouts, like you pick the outfit and bind it to the first slot. Maybe make the ruins more interesting, stuff like the collesium are great, but all the destroyed towns are pretty lame. Make the dungeons more like Hyrule Castle, meaning lots of stuff to find, but fairly simple to get to the end.

I unironically would want to play a game where Zelda gets the Triforce of Courage and Link thinks he got the Triforce of Wisdom. Zelda is a courageous hero, but because of the legends and stories, operates assuming she has Wisdom, while Link is a wise but passive prince, who operates under the assumption he has Courage. You play as Zelda as the knight for the first time ever and the story is eventually realizing that destiny and legends are easily misinterpreted and that heroism is all in your individual choices.

The twist is that Ganondorf, who we and he all thought had the Triforce of Power, really has Wisdom and Link really has Power. He realizes that he has been wrong in every single action, but decides that it is too late to turn back and allows Zelda and Link to defeat him, though we only discover this in a post-credits scene.
>>
Biggest fixes the next game needs to have are more substantive content and better worldbuilding.

There's barely anything to find in the map outside shrines/koroks and the same 3 minibosses copy/pasted everywhere. You quickly lose your sense of wonder about the game's world. There's should've been tons more events like the Yiga Hideout, a unique encounter involving a unique mechanic. More minibosses and enemies in general, with some of them unique to specific environments. More sidequests that are actually fun and surprising rather than the millionth "fetch me this and i'll give you pointless rupees"

And better worldbuilding = literally anything better than the lackluster plot and cast of this game. Except for the Zoras all characters were unforgettable. The world itself should have more interactivity and lively elements: I want to see way more people traveling around the world instead of the same 2 NPCs being copy/pasted over Hyrule Field. I wanted there to be a sidequest involving each "new" Champion rather than them just standing there repeating dialogue forever once they're not relevant to the plot anymore.

In general I think the "Zelda isn't about story" philosophy conflicts hugely with open-world design.

>Divine Beasts
I mean they were interesting conceptually, possibly more interesting than many "other" Zelda dungeons, but I wouldn't really say they were SUPER ENGAGING. And that's more important in my opinion.

btw i just replied to your post because it was convenient
>>
>>388799614
In what way weren't they "engaging"? In what other dungeon can you control the dungeon and move it around and shit? That was really cool. My only complaint about the Divine Beasts was that they were too short. Only like half-an-hour long endeavors. I want my Zelda dungeons to be massive and sprawling like Persona 5's.
>>
>>388789291
Most have 7 really good dungeons and one really tedious (water) one
>>

>>
>>388789374
The divine beasts feel too short. I don't like that I can blaze through them so quickly. I like the traditional dungeon style because I like the variety and I like the feeling of hopping through themed areas; dungeons are Zelda's version of different "worlds" in older nintendo games.

Breath of the Wild had variety in environments, but it felt a little shallow. I'd like to see a lot more variety and a lot stronger themes, with bigger towns and a bit more content.

>>388799812
I guess because they were short. It was just like, one and done. They didn't feel like critical thinking exercises to me, and didn't really "build" on their own concepts. Rather it was just one concept but drawn out?
I just felt like I didn't really have to apply myself, except with the water wheel in Vah Ruta, and that was really just technicality and timing and nothing more...
>>
>>388800478
They could make them harder by adding more combat to them. Like what if each of them instead of just being a long string of puzzles, they were sprinkled with more serious combat encounters and maybe 1 or 2 minibosses?
>>
>>388799812
>extremely short
>puzzles are easily solved just by sorta looking at them and remembering what your runes do
I liked the concept of shrines and how the concept of dungeon had been spread out into whole areas and compilations of shrines combined with a divine beast at the end, but... The main gripe of mine aside from feeling short was how there are 4 bosses in the game that all look almost exactly the same and just a shitload of mini bosses that don't really feel inspired, just feel like strong wild enemies.
>>
>>388800765
Also, make there be 8 of them, and make the bosses actually different from one another, and make the aesthetics different (not just all the inside of a big robot, make them feel different to be in)
>>
>>388800148
I liked the size of the towns. It was a happy medium. On early playthroughs they could be confusing to navigate for me. Maybe because having buildings as landmarks isn't as intuitive as geographical features for me, but whatever.

Pretty as the world is, and as much as I do love it, I almost felt like there wasn't enough variety. Even with all the mountains everything felt rather "at grade" with everything else. Maybe because the paraglider can make a lot of the high terrain non-trivial? I don't know.
Nah I know what it was. Even with the variety each of the separate geographies could get pretty samey within themselves, or after a while they just weren't "interesting" enough even for how fantastical they were.

My favorite area is the rolling green plateau near the desert. I think it's the Grasslands. That was actually THE last area I went to for some reason, but that's not why it was my favorite. It just felt right to see it. Something about it.
>>
>>388800878
I think the Rito one did that best. Being in the air was pretty cool. I do wish that it were a little bit more difficult and a bit more of the puzzle solving made you use the glider, but oh well. I just hated how short and easy it was, because it's my favorite thematically.
>>
>>388800765
combat in dungeons always devolves into kill the enemies to progress.
I'm fine with combat in dungeons, mind you, but once it gets to a certain amount, it's ALWAYS just a blockade.

Instead of so many shrines, which I did actually enjoy, I would have liked to see Shrines with similar concepts amalgamated to make dungeons. Longer tests of mental fortitude or dexterity, problem solving, etc. And I mean I like the old lock n key structure. It wouldn't hurt to have some dungeons feature upgrades, either, rather than just loot, but actual weapons or something... man I don't know. There were a lot of Shrines that could have been chained with one another for a more "dungeon" experience.

I really want to see persistent weapons in Zelda. I like the weapons classes in BotW but I want to be able to keep them. Like you find a wooden sword in a dungeon, and you keep it and that's your shit. Later you find a spear and you can swap between them on the fly. Later still you make upgrade your wooden sword to a steel sword, your spear to a halberd. Then you find a big rusty claymore that does mega damage until you get whatever flavor of Master sword, that's even better than the claymore. Then you find a blacksmith that fixes the claymore and makes it like 8 times stronger but it takes twice as long to wind up the attack so you have to hedge your bets. Do I want quick rapid attacks to stick and move, a well rounded broadsword, or am I going to be really strategic and methodical to deal the most amount of damage possible?
I rather enjoyed the concept of weapon durability and how it related to thematic elements as a whole, but I could do without it from now on.
>>
>>388801593
Honestly weapon durability was genius and it kind of stops being something you think about after you get the Master Sword.
>>
>>388801593
Some shrines have unique armor and/or rare weapons you just have to find the chest(s) in each one
>>
>>388801987
yeah I know that. Shrines are great. Just... you know... longer! Gimme more of that shit. They felt more dungeony than the dungeons. I fucking loved it.

>>388801861
It was genius and worked perfectly for BotW's particular concept, which is perfectly exemplified by Eventide Island. I did still think about it after I got the Master Sword, though (which I used mainly for mining when I didn't have a hammer) Granted you get so inundated with strong weapons later in the game because the game actually does a REALLY good job of scaling with you, so unless you're just a complete fool, you never really "run out" of anything, and if so, rarely. But BotW makes running a VERY viable and often necessary option, which I actually find refreshing.

-17-19 year old Link and Zelda tag-teaming Portrait of Ruin style.
-There's no Hyrule Castle, just a village that's fairly big. It's more like a settlement really.
-Likely takes place before Breath of the Wild, but also a weird place after New Hyrule in that the game is centered around exploration
-Link starts out with the Master Sword but has to awaken it. Just as well, Zelda starts to awaken her powers on the same scale.
-Link uses Tools, Zelda acquires more magic. Both have archery skills. Link can use Bomb Arrows and Zelda can "freely" use elemental arrows without consuming said stock.
-Character switching is seemless and it's not one big escort mission. Also no, the secondary character isn't a floating damage magnet.
-The secondary character can also have certain abilities assigned as if were a shortcut command, in case one doesn't feel like switching
-While there are open ended ways to take on bosses, mixing up Link and Zelda's abilities might yield interesting results on some foes
-Lots of armor and costume options for both

Virgins are the ones obsesed with Tsundere's. Its non virgins who prefer the plain girls more appealing because they've already put up with the bitchy girls in real life.

When it comes to media, genki and ara girls are taking over because Tsun girls were overdone far too long. 30+ years worth of them in Anime. And in western media, you can't throw a rock without hitting an entitled tomboy female lead.

No, non-virgins are split between alphas and betas. Alphas prefer hot, sexy and at least somewhat confident women. Note a difference between confident and bitchy; confident women don't need to be bitchy, as that bitchiness usually comes from insecurity.

Betas prefer bitchy tsunderes that will treat them like shit, as they aren't capable of sex unless they become some cunt's bitch to abuse as she pleases.

Virgins want 'pure' and non-threatening waifus that are mostly either demure or moe, since they themselves don't need to put any effort in or be interesting. They also aren't physically intimidating.
