The 2008 Turok game on hard mode. There's this elevator sequence you have to ride on that moves so fucking slowly and there's like a bunch of dudes shooting down at you and all you have for cover were some shitty crates. I got stuck on that sequence for almost 2 hours.

I've played terrible games, buggy games, games that made me restart a segment a large number of times because I was stuck on it, and games that left me with an unsatisfactory impression when it was over. I've also had my fair share of defeats playing multiplayer games across differing genres for many different reasons (it was my fault, teammate stopped playing, etc.). With all of my experience playing video games, even during these negative moments, I was never mad or filled with rage.
Let me introduce you to the one video game character that sent me over the edge. This is Alice, the only video game related ANYTHING to make me absolutely mad. I understand the reasons for the twists that she is involved in, but having to talk to her is absolute hell. I don't want to dwell on this too long, but without trying to spoil anything, if you "disagree" with her, she becomes an insufferable cunt since things didn't go as expected. You want to make amends, but she absolutely shits on you for your choice and distances herself from you. If you "agree" with her, she will justify her behavior in any way she sees fit. At this moment, I didn't want anything to do with her, but I was forced to be with her because it was "her choice to go with me, tee hee." Even if it is minor, this is the only time I was absolutely seething because of a video game.

One time 10 years ago I got so mad at counterstrike I stabbed my monitor with a sword. Luckily I only put a chip in the glass and didn't shatter it. I learned my lesson and never got mad at a video game again.

I could never get into a Park game. I only tried 5v5 so that's probably my fault but I like full teams for strategy shit.

I was playing GTA V drunk and got mad af at getting spawn killed to the point I wrecked the controller, game, and tried to kill the 360.

There were pieces all around me in a 15ft radius.

Actual full on rage is rare, unless you count tourettesing out "Fuckin-god damnit!" every other second in Dark Souls.
I tend to harbour a slow-burn depressing angsty gut feeling when I feel like a game has no soul and is wasting my time.
Felt like that playing CoD Blackops-whatever and WoW and GTAV.

The only instance of rage I've ever had was with Metal Gear Solid 1.

I couldnt beat Liquid in the fist fight and I punched myself on the leg out of rage.

I remember thinking about random ways to kill people after playing too much Hotline Miami.

The Hell Temple in La Mulana. I had to take a walk for an hour when I fell through the starting tile in the room after the boss and realized I had to go through THOSE 3 bullshit rooms again.

Nah the real secret to beating vanilla XCOM 2 is Grenadiers. Always bring a minimum of two, hell bring even three. Take Salvo on everyone, and Heavy Ordnance and Volatile Mix on at least one of them, maybe even all of them. Then you just nuke all enemy cover from orbit and clean up the rest. Picking Chain Shot instead of Volatile Mix is also not a bad idea at all - when stacked with good Aim PCSes and scopes, you can easily get 100% guaranteed chain shots on uncovered enemies, which will absolutely wreck just about everyone's shit. Even after all the nerfs Grenadiers have gotten ((this strategy was pretty much broken good back on launch) this is still very much a great strategy to go with when it comes to winning.

You should also pretty much always have a Ranger with either Conceal or Phantom or both in your team to act primarily as a scout - being able to discover enemy pods without activating them throughout a mission is highly advantageous (even more so later on when you get proxy mines for your Grenadiers, at which point you're pretty much just bullying the enemies into submission).

Specialist for long-range objective hacking is also a must on at least all missions that have an objective to reach. They also make for mean overwatch machines with Guardian.

For Sharpshooters I highly recommend going with the gunslinger tree all the way except for picking Long Watch instead of Return Fire. The Gunslinger perks are fantastic, doubly so because special ammunition works with pistols. With the combination of Lightning Hands, Quickdraw and Fan Fire you can shoot a target up to five times with your pistol in a single turn - with a Beam Pistol and Dragon Rounds that would do at least 20-35 damage, potentially even more if you get crits.

I was freaking wasted and I rage quit playing BF1 so badly that I started stabbing my controller with a knife to destroy it, it slipped and I basically punched the knife edge and cut to the bone on 4 fingers. I was neet at the time, so no insurance either. Good god that was a fun bill to pay.
