Considering the first Thief has absolute garbage like Thieve's Guild, Return to the Haunted Cathedral, Escap! and Into the Maw of Chaos it is absolutely better.

Thief II is a much more focused game and doesn't waste your time with levels that have no thievery in them amidst convoluted cave systems with zombies and dinosaurs in them.

Thieves' Guild is exclusive to Gold, so it's not really an argument against Dark Project though I don't actually think it's that bad. Return I understand the dislike for since it's a repeat of a prior map, but the others are parts in the original that tie up the overarching story or feature some of the more surreal elements in the series. It makes a lot of sense that Garrett's just focusing on getting back the stuff he'd had taken from him when he's just lost an eye like in Escape.

Metroid Prime 2 is shit.

Thief 1 is better than 2. You are right abotu Fallout 2 though.

MGS2 is great but MGS3 is better. RE2 is overrated, both RE1 and RE3 are better than it. R&C2 is the best of the trilogy though. And respect for putting Jak 2 there it is indeed the best in the trilogy.

SotC is also much better than Ico.
