Probably an Engineer turned Slayer, like Gotrek Gurnisson, since Bardin's Uncle apparently passed Okri over for inheritance in favour of him, and if Okri is anywhere near Bardin's estimation, that wouldn't make sense if he was a normal dwarf.
While it's true most Dwarfs speak of Slayers as if they were dead, but that could be explained by Rangers being considered weird by dwarf society.

Given that Bardin's hold is located somewhere in Lustria, it seems like a sensible place to branch out to and make their being a character seem more natural. Might get Estalian or Tilean characters as a result, and/or a High Elf.

It's basically a mostly melee l4d with 5 different characters who have their own weapon sets. The playerbase is still decent so finding games is pretty easy. It's fun.
I've gotten more than my money's worth and I bought it at full price.

As risky as it sounds, they could go the Mass Effect route and keep the weirder/lore-rape factions in their own mode

It's L4D2 in the Warhammer universe

If you got a friend or two, this shit will be a blast. The combat is satisfying, the levels are amazing, the interaction of the characters with the world and between each other is richly crafted, and the higher two difficulties are an amazing experience

Hopefully there's more stuff to it than just L4D with swords. L4D is extremely repetitive, it works because it has the versus mode, but Vermintide has no such thing. On top of that, if you just have to spam LMB, shooting guns gets old a lot slower than swinging a sword.

Add skills, skill trees, more loot, whatever the fuck, just something.
