I like both although I'm pretty scrub at both. Blazblue feels a bit easier, most characters are pretty straight forward and there's not a lot of mechanics. GG meanwhile has a shitload of mechanics and many characters with weird gimmicks. But it also has overall better design and a really intuitive combo system. I'd give the nod to GG but maybe that's just because it's what I've been playing lately.

Only reason Bb was great to go into was because Gg community was really small before xrd and Bb introduced some cool gimmicks.
Then sequeol after sequel after sequel all semblance and originality went downhill and sicne there's Xrd now there is no way Bb is the better choice.

The mechanic weren't garbage per se, the balance was.
Cs was a good balance imho, but most of the character that came after weren't really interesting, starting with makoto.
it nod bad, it still has it own charm of ultraweaboo sparkly design(nori went mad and its literally shoving everything he wants into the game), but GG is incredibly superior on every aspect.
It has smoother combat(Bb feels "stiff"sometimes), deeper mechanics, better visuals, les trizingajillions hoit combos(its not fun beign hit by litchi and beign toyed for a five minutes combo), slightly better character design.

But BB ha slolis, catgirls, squirrelgirls, shotas, m o f character and is basically adding every jap fetish character they could into the roster. Also first game had godlike story mode(wich became progressively worse with every game)and characters have cool gimmicks.

they are also adding Jubei, which is probably the reason im going to play it again(just to quit the furry after a couple of game just to see if they will ever make Bang not trash)

Yes they fucking were. The balance was trash, and the mechanics themselves. CS wasn't well-balanced at all, in fact the top-tiers fucking demolished the rest. Guard Libra had no place being in a game like that and is still made fun of today.

How? Startup on dashes in GG is slow as shit, same with airdashes and really it just feels sluggish to move in it unless you're using someone like Slayer. In fact, the "smoother combat" you're talking about is made even worse with mechanics like gravity which makes hitconfirms less reliable, and the game contains FAR more burst-safe combos that allows you to OS them consistently, essentially removing the effectiveness of the mechanic itself. There's also the fact that meter useage is essentially fucked upside-down because of how overwhelmingly strong YRC is in the game, making supers ineffective as shit. Then we have things like Guts, which really has no reason to exist other than to make supers "less shit" by working around the defense modifier.

Like what? Because if anything, GG is the one game that's still stuck with archaic design choices like mash to tech and arbitrary buffer windows and wakeup, and seperate wake-up timings that really don't add anything in terms of depth and is more just "another thing you have to remember".

True for the most part, but the transition to 3D also meant the zoomed-in camera affecting movement drastically compared to the older games. BB reusing assets from 2009 isn't good, but I still prefer that over the former.

100% subjective. I find GG combos boring as fuck because of gravity making confirms incredibly unreliable.

Also, if you're going to claim that CF Story Mode is worse than CS or CP then you're, once again, being stupid as shit. If you prefer GG that's fine, but so far you've demonstrated not knowing jack shit about this.

I like the mechanics better than Guilty Gear, and BlazBlue feels too 'loose'. I think it takes a mix from both games mechanics, actually.

It's still not completely dead either, even if only like 20 people play it.

Except basically fucking everyone who wasn't Tao got a proper conclusion or a good plothook for the future. Ragna disappeared in an appropriate way that had already been demonstrated in XBlaze, and had essentially been his goal since the start. It also gives a chance for him to be brought back since he isn't actually dead.
Jin being unable to fight is fine really, if Ragna is gone then he really has no need to. Relius was never the one who their motives were set on, and killing him off when the franchise is set to continue would be dumb. Terumi was the centerpiece of the grudge, hence why he should be the one to be disposed. Adding Relius to that would just have weakened Relius death.
Active Flow makes OD into an appropriate system mechanic rather than just a gimmick like in CP. OD in CP was literally the most boring shit there is, and while CPE at least included ODR to the mix, it still wasn't reliable enough to actually be used, and CPE had the issue of bringing back SMP which is a trash mechanic.
Besides, the main problems with AF is how it was triggered, which is fixed in CF2, along with making EA punisheable and as a result not as free.
