everyone started switching to modern warfare and ghost recon during this time
And now were left with generations of people who don't want to learn new mechanics in shooter games or better themselves with harder challenges and are left with absolutely ZERO popularity with any new arena shooter that comes up. I'm not talking about a niche hardcore fanbase, im talking about a casual fanbase that can keep a game alive for more than a couple of months, enough to pay the bills for a new arena shooter to be published and polished and last for more than a year
