It is still fully supported by normies, I shared a house of 7 people last year and there were 4 PS4s in the house and the only game that everyone owned was Fifa 17. One of my normie friends loved The Last of Us and asked me if I had played it, unaware that it was only on Playstation, that's how unawares normies are, they truly couldn't give less shits about 90% of the stuff talked about in /v/ like SJWs and console wars and microtransactions

Well I haven't played 18 so I don't know, and I'm not saying each Fifa takes the series to the next level every time and the differences aren't measured in terms of big new features or shit like that, but just in the way they play can make them feel very different.

Compared to Fifa 16, Fifa 17 had much softer passing, defenders felt more cumbersome, especially when on their haunches, the dribbling with the top players felt a lot tighter controlled, the shooting was more difficult in some ways, Fifa 16 had the majority of goals being mid range shots getting slammed top corner as soon as their was space, Fifa 17 shooting made most goals more like in real life with along the floor placement taking over slamming it. Defenders were much more aggressive and capable with their interceptions in 16, which they probably did to focus on the new driven pass mechanic for that game

I get that these all seem like pretty minor things, but a lot of game like old PS2 action platformers would get sequels with differences like this and just more levels
