Is it out already?

Yet another shitty comedy about assembling a team of kooky gamers to win the big tournament.

The worst offender so far is Pure Pwnage. I had to watch that movie in four sessions because of how terrible it was.

I rewatched the web series again just to make sure I hadn't grown out of it and the first season is still really funny. They just completely lost it.

Seems meh - It's not great when Dan Avidan is the actor on your crew with the tightest timing and delivery (excepting Terry Crews)

That said Dan honestly surprised me. He's way better than I thought he'd be in an actual production.

Arin, on the other hand, seemed to routinely blow his timing. I don't know if the shoots were rushed or the editing was cramped for time but there were a lot of jokes and lines Arin gave that really needed to be given room to breathe.

The depiction of video games themselves was meh but that's honestly the least important thing going on.

I'll give it the same chance I give animu: three episodes. The pilot felt rushed but maybe the rest of the series gets the pacing right.

AVGN movie was laughably bad.

Rooster Teeth's Lazer Team was shit.

Ashens and the Quest for the Gamechild was too reliant on obscure references and British "humor."

This was just sad.

Shitty writing, Arin and Dan are terrible actors, even Dan Harmon's directing won't be able to save this shitshow.
They advertised it like it was going to be genuine game grumps acting like themselves but Arin has this serious and monotone demeanor that is totally not fitting

The writing's not that bad, the pilot just feels cramped. They had to fit a whole story arc into the first episode, presumably to pitch it to youtube, so none of the jokes have any time to land and most of it is sped up exposition.

I'm about to watch the second episode and it's hopefully a little less compressed.

I'll agree about Arin, though. His acting/timing is pretty bad and the character doesn't fit his actual personality like Dan's does.
