I don't understand how a plot can completely jump the Megalodon after only a game and a prologue. This is excluding the batshit insane meme spin-off games that followed these two. Kojima couldn't even in his wildest dreams on 52 hits of LSD come of with anything remotely close to this convoluted shitfest of a storyline.

1's story, 2's gameplay (minus how magic works and the reaction commands, made everything too easy imo)

replaying them at 28 years old really made me appreciate how shit they are

2. It's not even close. The only reason you'd like 1 is if you're a Disney fan. 2 improved every aspect of the gameplay. Combat had a much better flow, Gummi ships weren't awful, and the levels weren't just boxes like in KH1. The only thing worse was the Disney side. They just served as filler and an excuse to have different aesthetics for each world.

I played 2 on normal years ago and I remember having trouble with certain parts of the game although I pretty much only hit with the keyblade and used curaga.
Played 2FM on critical recently and finished everything but the data org bosses and lingering will easily.
This game isn't mash X to win but it's not that hard besides the secret bosses.

Should be, though we used to get a lot more free event medals back in the first 12 months of the game so it might be a little harder these days since they're a lot less common. Though there's a few medals you'll wanna look out for to get from the banners such as the Kairi medals like pic related.

Agree with this, but overall I'd say CoM is still pretty skippable. As long as you have a basic grasp of the plot, you're not going to be lost in 2.

No, unless stated otherwise, any new medal gets added to the pool of medals. So basically any banner you pull from has a chance for her to appear which is pretty slim. Unless they do a reprint banner for her which she'll either have a slightly higher chance of dropping or has a guaranteed in 5 pulls stipulation.

This one is also another Kairi medal to hope for.

In terms of writing, level design, and overall "feel" I would say KH1 is better. What KH2 did was take the weaker aspect of the game (the combat) and polish the ever loving shit out of it, and then KH2FM is slightly more polished + a few very minor bug fixes/rebalances

Bosswise... i'm torned. KH2fm has a lot of good entries and the best fuckhuge ones, but i felt more tension playing against BBS fm bosses, mainly the human sized ones, maybe because the fighting system forced you to mix more brawl and magic.
TECHNOLOGY wise i was honestly blown the fuck out by 0.2. It felt fluid and vivid.
