I feel like innovation is dead. VR is retarded. I remember the PSEYE and thought the concept was retarded 15 years ago. I remember fantasia and motion control and thought it was for faggots when I was a child.
I also remember thinking MGS1 was revolutionary, along with the battlefield series of games (I'm talking way old school here, BF 2, BF2142,)
Are any of you even old enough to remember the innovation that used to be in vidya?
(Pic kinda related, MGS3 made me want an M37, most of my firearm purchases are based on childhood vidya)

VR has the potential to be a lot of fun but game devs can't take any risks because of people who cry about being motion sick. So we get stuck with the same teleporty gun gallery games. The install base isn't there to make it worthwhile to invest into making a proper VR game either
Its really good with racing games and then there's stuff like Rez which is an amazing experience. But overall we just need some good fucking games for it

VR porn sucks most of it the scale is wrong and it's like the woman is twice your size (literally). The only thing I kinda liked was VR Kanojo as it was kinda nice having someone looking at me speaking and smiling, then the touch bit happens and it sucks you out of it and made me feel like a fucking idiot for falling it's tricks and enjoying it. CM3D would maybe be fun if It was translated more or I could speak Japanese
In summary, I'm glad I have VR as it is fun and the sense of scale it provides is great. But I don't think it was worth buying currently as nogames outside of the same short overpriced shit and racing games

I got a cheap enclosure for my phone, it's not the same as a "proper" VR headset. I never really got that sense of being somewhere like I did when I used a Vive/Rift. I think it's because of how the head tracking works? Or maybe it's just because there was fuck all decent looking VR games on Google Play?
