Ultimately she's living on borrowed time either way. As a horny teenager, I found it annoying that you had no way of keeping her enslaved and alive, but it seemed appropriate desu.

I want to replay the game with the fan patch(es), but I'm worried it'll be a little TOO fan service-y, from everything I've heard and read.

Ghouls are still human, and the process is reversible as long as the time spent as a ghoul doesnt exceed your natural lifetime (you age to how you should look like if you stop drinking blood, so if you are too old you just turn to dust).

Yeah. In the vanilla game you can tell her to shoot anyone following her but I guess since she's up against some slightly more powerful vampires it doesn't matter.

I kind of don't like being able to save her AND get the body armor, takes away the whole point of that dilemma.
